10 months is a looong time. Should have just chosen outland. How is it possible that the website doesn't update to 10 months when its been saying october 8 2012 for so long now. It was october 8 even before the strike started, so i dont understand what the hold up is!!!!

It won't matter. CIC doesn't really use that information unless there is a choice of offices available (hmm, maybe you'll be asked to do your landing appointment in Ottawa). When you get AOR, update the form and send in the updated form so you don't have to worry - but the stage 1 processing time for inland is sitting at 10 months right now (October 8, 2012 - 10 months ago) so you have a long wait before they even BOTHER to look at those forms.

The strike shouldn't directly impact CPC-V as it is entirely an inland office. I do follow the inland threads and 2012/2013 people are a bit discouraged at the moment, since the stage 1 time is now almost back up to what it was a year ago (when it suddenly plummeted from 11 months to 5-6 months over a small period of time). Perhaps that will happen again, or perhaps they are redirecting resources to other activities.

I did the medical exam in Dec. 2012 before we filed the application.
But we received the request to do the medical exam again. Does anyone know why...?

Did u apply to cpp ottawa??? I had received a medical redo request and this weekend i redid medicals for 500 $. Today i received email from cpp ottawa saying its a system error .. No need to redo medicals.. So before u redo confirm ...

If it makes you feel any better, my new landlord started off our "relationship" by handing out a $350 rent increase. I foresee a report about her illegal basement suite in the future.

Thats a huge increase.did u get enough notice at least? should be entitled to at least 60 days notice for over 10% rent increase.

Alberta law is 90 days, so we have until Nov 1st. I emailed a few places tonight. It's going to be difficult to find something we can afford in a city full of displaced flood victims & we have a cat (that we aren't leaving). Couldn't happen at worse time either lol. My new term for school starts tomorrow and I'm preparing to start looking for a job. When it rains, it pours........

MY WIFE APPLIED FOR THE 'PR CARD' RENEWAL SHE SENT THE COPIES OF PR CARD AND AS SHE REMMBERS AT THAT TIME WEB SITE ASKED FOR COPIES

BUT TODAY SHE CHEKED AGAIN AND IT SAYS ORGINAL CARDS WILL THIS EFFCTS OR CAN SHE UPDATE THEM AGAIN BY SENDING THE ORGNNALS

IF SOME ONE ANY EXPERIANCE PLEASE EXPLAIN

Just received AOR today, August 1st, and it says that they received the application on July 15th 2013.
