Hey kfair, we received COPR on 2/12/2013. We applied in May. I suspect your COPR should be any day as it looks like the most folks have been waiting is a little over 30 days at the max. Are you sure they received your passport? It does drive you crazy! Good luck to you as well.

Oh I'm sorry! Haha. That must have been the only day I didn't look at the forum. But thanks for letting me know. Yeah it's now been 44 days since the passport request. I'm going to have to call them tomorrow. Ill let everyone know if they say anything relevant. At least if I call maybe it will force them to open it up again and possibly push them to send off the COPR. Thanks Crna80!

Same here, we applied back in MAY and got PPR on 31/1/2013. STILL waiting for COPR. Actually I received a job offer starting April so we mailed CPP-O last friday and got back a few hours later but just said
" Your passport has been received.
An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed.
We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum."

This is frustrating:(

I'm a lady, tee hee!

Here's the story of how I landed today, AND started my new job within the span of 5 hours!

6:30 a.m., my husband and I woke up, got ready, and went to the car rental place to pick up the rental car; we had a 7:30 reservation. We arrived 15 minutes early but they let us in and got us started, and we actually were on the road by 7:35. We got to the Rainbow Bridge crossing at 8:30, Niagara Falls sure was pretty! We stopped at the U.S. border and to our chagrin, we realized my husband forgot his passport. The border guard was a total jerk about it and copped an attitude when he asked my husband for his drivers license, and for no reason he took our IDs and sent us into the US border office. We waited there about 5 minutes before another border guard took us back, and I told him how rude the other guard had been to us...turns out it wasn't even necessary for us to go in there since I was a US citizen and we were literally just crossing to turn around and go right back the other way, the guy was just being an ass. We got our IDs back and went on our merry way; the border agent on the Canada side was the complete opposite of the US one, he was extremely friendly and excited for us. We walked into the CBSA office and didn't even have to wait, we were seen right away. The agent who finished my paperwork asked us a few routine questions like where we lived, and with a couple initialed lines and a signature, I was officially a permanent resident! We were on our way back home by 9 a.m.

10 a.m., we got back to our hometown, where I went to the Service Canada office to get my SIN. I swear, I must've had the Bureaucracy Fairies on my side today because it literally took me 7 minutes to get my new SIN. Then I walked across the parking lot to the Service Ontario office to change the information on my OHIP card and drivers license, which took about 20 minutes (most of that time spent waiting in line). My husband and I had a celebratory breakfast at Tim Hortons, refilled the rental car gas tank, drove back to the rental agency, and finally, the rental agent drove me to my new job and my husband back home!

I started that office manager job today at 11:30, by the way! From nervous wreck to employed immigrant in 5 hours flat! Welcome to Canada, indeed.

I hope everyone else's landings are as smooth and quick as mine (although I hope nobody else gets a rude border guard on a power trip)!

Congrats! =D Sorry to hear about the rude officer, they can be like that sometimes =\ But the good news is YOU'RE ALL DONE NOW!! =D

WooHoo!! After a little nudge, We got our passport request!

To give anybody waiting a long time some hope I just waited 17 months for my application to be finalized! I sent my application to missisauga in Oct 2010, sponsor approval in Dec 2010, RPRF request in May 2011 and absolutely no updates from them since then, only 'your applicaiton is in process'. I received my PPR email this afternoon and am in absolute shock, I felt like there would never be an end to this process!!

Congratulations!!

Ottawa's processing time is 13 months. Since you applied 15months ago, yes, I would be on their backs hounding them for information.

Usually VO processing times are for stage 2. Your stage 2 is already over the average. Good luck!

yes....wat to do now??

Since you've emailed Ottawa, all you can do now is wait.

It depends on how bombarded they are with applications and e-mails. It can vary from a few days to a few months... to not at all.
