Hello everyone. I'm an American married to a Canadian. Last April 2015 we sent in our outland sponsorship application. My wife was approved to sponsor me in about 60 days. Since then I have been checking my application status and a decision has just recently been made in Ottawa. Here is the process.
1. We received your application for permanent residence on April 28, 2015.
2. We started processing your application on July 27, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received.
4.We sent you correspondence on February 1, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
Line 4 they asked me to pay the Right to Permanent Residency Fee to continue processing. Just days after paying this fee I see in my application status a decision has been made. Not sure whats next or if it's a good thing. My med and criminal records are spotless so hoping this is good!
