Shylox is now officially an editor of the spreadsheet, with the power to move people up or down. It won't change the processing times, but oh, the power she now wields!

I think for my first trick I'm going to apply a few filters!

Too funny. Try organizing the usernames alphabetically.

COPR today :) I can't believe it's over! Almost!

There wasn't a notice to bring extra pictures--is this a sort of mandatory unsaid thing? We already submitted 4 pictures with his original application. Anyways, totally stoked, it's awesome.

Again, good luck to all those still waiting!

REQUEST FOR DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORT COPIES

Dear B....:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the family class. We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. While an interview does not appear necessary at this time, we reserve the right to call you to an interview, should this become necessary at some future stage in processing.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE PROCEEDING FURTHER. YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE FINALIZED BY THE CASE PROCESSING PILOT – OTTAWA (“CPP-O”).

In order to continue processing your application, the following is required:

Ø Evidence that your sponsor resides or will reside in Canada. This includes but is not limited to: pay stubs, T4 slips, utility bills, and banking history. Drivers licences, Property tax assessments, Social Insurance or Health Insurance cards are not sufficient for yourself This must be received at this office by: 02/12/2013
Ø COPY OR SCANNED IMAGE of your passport and passports of your accompanying family members, as noted below.

Please tell me this is our PPR and what we have been waiting for!!!??? one thing that has me confused though is the evidence that your sponsor resides.... I sent in a letter from my dad saying that we could live with him and work for his company so do I just sent another copy of that or what? Thank you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!

Hello,

Being new to this forum... Can someone explain which applications go to CPP- Ottawa as opposed to going to VO?

My understanding is that applications which are "Outland" and one of the applicants is a US citizen.
There are many more people on here with a lot more knowledge than I have who will be able to answer better.

That sounds about right - it's all relatively new, so none of us has a really good idea how it works.

For American citizens applying Outland, the VO up until early this year was Buffalo and it was closed. So CPP-O, at least for the time being, IS the VO for these people. Some people's passport requests were being handled by other American Visa offices, but I believe that was a temporary measure to help clear backlog.

I think the idea is also to continue to use US visa offices for cases that are more complicated or require local expertise (presumably for more extensive background checks), and to do all of the straightforward cases in Ottawa. Which ought to mean it's good our applications are in Ottawa...
