Eee! The one-legged polar bear arrived today

Looks like they made their decision back in late February, but the visa wasn't issued/dated until last week!

Not sure if I want to go on a road trip to the States and land like most other PRs, or just go to the CIC office... :

Keep in mind if you do go to the CIC office they won't stamp your B4 or B4A and even if you go to a CBSA office they might tell you no too. This is what happened to me. But other than that, landing at the office (at least here in Vancouver) was a breeze and if you can get an appointment in a timely manner it's totally worth it, way less hassle.

Thanks! That's good to know. I don't have anything waiting to be imported here, so I'm not even sure if a B4 would apply for me. That's the form to declare goods accompanying you, right? I'll give em a call and see what they say.

Looks likes my strategy of sending them an email to give them a kick in the but worked! ECAS was updated today with decision made. This is what is says....

We received Xxxxxxxx's application for permanent residence on July 30, 2012.

We started processing Xxxxxxxx's application on March 22, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on Xxxxxxxx's application. The office will contact Xxxxxxxx concerning this decision.

Yes but it's also used for goods that are to follow(not there with you when you land). You can try calling CIC but they might just tell you to call CBSA, that's what they told me. Maybe you'll get someone who can give you answers. But if you don't have anything to bring then there's no reason to call anyone haha

I just figured out that you can actually get your SIN with just your COPR and passport before "landing" if you're already in Canada. Which is good since I might have a job before I actually get to land in Canada.

I just noticed some people never got a passport request...I thought it was a mandatory step....

Im SOOOO excited right now though...but I don't know for sure. My mother just notified me she wasn't able to mail them today but will tomorrow. Soon Ill call my little sister so she could read them to me.

Do you know if it is possible to flagpole by car?? We live really close to the border or Vermont. Is it possible to land that way- with those border agents? It's not possible to just go to the airport here right..unless I bought a round-trip flight...which wouldn't make sense...

Yeah you can flagpole in a car at the border. That's what we'll probably do when we drive down in two more weeks! Congrats and that is most definitely your COPR.

I'd be wary of that. Because they take down the officer's ID number that is put on the COPR at the Service Canada office. If you go there before landing, you might be told to go land before getting a SIN.

We emailed them Thursday and It looks like they made their "decision" on Friday. But ECaS was updated for us this morning. They never responded to the email but ECAS was updated coincidently the next day.
