If understood correctly, CIC will stop taking applications if they received 200 for one particular category in NOC level B. Am I correct?
yes

That's correct - once it reaches 200, no more applications will be accepted until later announcements

Makes sense given that the AOR processing time has improved considerably.
WOW! They are really gearing up for EOI 2015. For the 2014 aspiring CEC applicants, I hope we can all make it.

That's quite a lot.
Last update was on March 24 to 5, 041 and now to 5,562 on April 1st.
That's over 500 applicantions in 8/9 days.

So from what I understand the new EOI linked immigration starts in January 2015. I have two questions

1)What happens in the time between Oct 31 2014 and Dec 31 2014, can we still apply under the old CEC rules or are they not accepting applications during that time?

2) The second question is, does someone have a good idea what the EOI means for new applicants?

Thanks again for any feedback :) :) :) :)

seriously, you guys are the best

Hi

1) From Oct 31, 2014 the cap will reset. Unless they change the rules again, same rules will be on place.

2) EOI is Expression of Interest. That means CIC will have to show an interest on you. You can apply for PR if Canada has an interest on your job. First you will apply with some basic information - if they like you, they will ask you to apply for PR. If they don't think you are needed for Canada's economy, they will send you a "thank you but try later" letter.

My 1 year experience in NOC 2282 will be completed by the first week August this year. I am getting confused that should i remain in Ontario and apply for my CEC application in August or move to some other province in order to apply for PNP which is kind of a safer bet considering the huge jump in my NOC.

I'll be very thankful to you guys for some advice.

If you think you can get a job in another province and apply for your PR under PNP, go for it. If there's still a spot open for you in August under CEC, you can apply under both PNP and CEC.
Good luck!

I sent mine with different NOC's, how will i know which one they are considering me under?

As long as they are NOC O/A/B and not the 6 ineligible occupations, you should be fine. They will consider all the NOCs that you have submitted for your PR.
