cost of living in Barrie area

We are coming to Canada in September 2014 through a working holiday programme. We are looking to find out what the average monthly expenses would be for a family of 3 (2 adults and a 4 year old) in the Barrie area. Preferably Collingwood or Wasaga Beach.

This would include:
Rent
Utilities
Shopping
Gas
Electric
Travel

It is hard to judge until you are actually there as each family are different but we would just like a rough idea to prepare us for when we arrive

Hi Tony a 2 Br unit will go for 1200 average plus utilities remember these 2 plaes are tourist areas so it'll be more if you get close to theho main roads.
Shopping in Wassaga is ok there is Walmart.
Gas is the same as all ontario it depends right now $1.28 1 little.
utilities for 3 people will be around $200 a month again depends on your use.
