Corona Virus threat to Travel , COPR expires on 24th April 2020

Two or three people in forum managed to get IRCC on call and confirmed that CoPR / PRV holders will not be allowed to land in Canada till further notice. I am not going to board flight on 21st March and have raised webform and emailed IRCC Delhi immigration with my case attached with tickets and asking for extending my CoPR. Now I am going to just wait for a reply.

I also called Ircc canada and they told copr cant travel I filled a webform with my tickets of 21st March and asked for extension.But there is nothing in writing But logic is why they will give option to copr holders to fill a webform if they were allowed to travel Is it in case of flight cancellation or it includes travel ban too?
So much confusion.

Yes so true i just wish it was different or IRCC would advise generally of what are COPR holders to do now

One of my frnd just got boarding from new delhi. She was with her husband who is PR. Immigration told her that she is not allowed to enter canada as she has COPR aftr her husband talked to immigration and they saw their all documents of marriage and many more things.After 3,4 hours they allow her to catch plane bt she told me that just cancel ur tickets as i had booked my ticket for 22 march. she said u wll not allowed to pass with COPR so guys my husband just cancelled my ticket and i think u guys should too. that’s just recent experience their security is so tight that better to wait till things wll be good.

Guys shall we start a petition requesting canada govt to give us extension as soon as possible as we all have almost winded up everything in our home country.They should and have to give us extension otherwise everything will be over.job money time all gone.

Farm workers are needed for planting. Most other workers are laid off or working from home. It is not a good time for people to land. You also may not have health coverage so if you got sick you would have a large bill. Finding a job will not be possible unless you are licensed nurse. Finding a place to live will be tough because many don’t want to be around new arrivals. You would also have to quarantine yourself for 14 days. You couldn’t even go to the grocery store and would need to go from the airport to your living accommodations and not leave there for 14 days.

Be patient. CIC has likely received multiple enquires from tens of thousands of people. It will take time to get back to people. They will give out extensions but people need to remember to leave buffer time when planning big moves.

Travel ban by Canada itself comes way above any ticket cancellation by airline.IRCC mentioned the word " travel disruption due to covid-19" a valid reason to fill web form. Plus webform is the only means to raise our concerns.
