Is it true that the last 2 weeks and this week have seen very few COPR?

I’ve called and the agent told me everything is passed except “security clearance “ and “criminality “.
Any idea how long will it take from now ?

I completely agree with you. I have been here for 5 years contributing to canadian economy here, working, paying taxes, even went to school here. I have not seen my family for 3 years at a stretch. I feel stuck, my life is on a total pause. Can’t even buy a car, or go back to school, start a business, buy a home, all things I really want to and need to do for myself. But I am stuck and I can’t start anything - everyone says don’t worry it’s gonna be fine but is it really? Are they gonna see the hardwork done by us? I’m just so sick of waiting for 5 years to properly live my life - travel visit family etc I’m so tired I wake up check my application go to sleep check my application this is crazy

I am there with you, I check my profile right through the day, the first thing the morning and the last thing at nights. The process should not be this difficult for applicants, regardless of Covid. A lot of person waiting before Covid, I am heading into my 17h month

Security can take anywhere between 1 to 6 months..
While criminality is fairly quick at 3 weeks or so..
However Criminality will only starts after submission of biometrics if not already with the file..

I gave biometrics in October, but my Aor is April (more than 6 months..). When do they start security usually? Do they need biometrics for that as well?

Totally understand your situation. I share the same frustration with you, I urgently need the status to apply for school for next Fall. Most of the applications will be due in coming Dec or Jan. What I learnt is no matter how many calls you made, they are only able to tell you what they can see on file. My application was approved in August but till now didn't receive COPR. I could even see the COPR document number on my GCMS. LOL

Are you inland? I share the similar experience with you. I got the CoPR on Oct 28th, I can see CoPR file number, status and validation and so on in CIC account but there was no official documents to download. I've called them and raised webform, I got the official letter yesterday. Don't give up.

17 months! Your aor was last year? You're inland?

Well for security biometrics are not required as in my case it was passed before biometrics submission.
Security can start as soon as eligibility is passed.
However in some cases it only starts after biometrics submission.
If you have given your biometrics in October then wait at least a month and then call IRCC for updates.
Your criminality should get passed in meantime and security could still be in process in that case.

Unfortunately Yes,
The process is not that streamlined by IRCC and we guys have to remain patient.
It is just unfair.
Anyways I wish you all the luck and hope your application should move swiftly like thousands of others here.

Yes I am inland, but I can't see the COPR info in my account. It is only written on GCMS notes.

Just called IRCC. AOR May 05, 2020. Bio exempted Oct 9, 2020. Eligibility, Security, Medical and Criminality passed as per the agent. Need to wait for officer for final decision!
