Hi,
while trying to extend my health insurance here in BC I realized that the two fields "Became P.R. at" and "Became P.R. on" on my COPR are empty. Has anyone else experiences this and was it a problem later on?

Thanks for the info,
Tobi

Your passport and/or COPR surely has a stamp with the date you landed, no?

How did you do your landing, land or air?

When I flagpoled they filled those in, maybe if you can go back ask them?

Even call them at the border. Or even better yet cic tomorrow.

Yes, is there another way to get your COPR?
Yes, when they approve your application they send out your COPR. You then need to go to the border to land and activate your PR. Once you do that they should fill in those dates.

I got my COPR after flagpoling and the information is missing. I called CIC and they told me to send in a "Request to Amend Record of Landing, Confirmation of Permanent Residence or Valid Temporary Resident Documents (IMM 5218)" http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5218ETOC.asp and wait for the amendment which according to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/other.asp might actually take longer than becoming a PR in the first place. We'll see, just wanted to post this in case someone else runs into the same issue.

Lessons learned: Always double check the entire document.

+1, and thanks for coming back with the info to update for others.

(My children & I have an "error" on our landing documents. CIC never managed to correct it, but it never caused major problems, just minor annoyances).

FYI, got a reply today, 16/09/2015, with an updated status verification which contains the missing info.
The letter tells me to send in a new application for a permanent resident card will all the paperwork as well as my "old" PR card.

I asked for urgent processing because BC health care needed that info. That's why it took only 4 weeks.
