Same statusHello fellow members of the forum,
I got an email today from IRCC (donnotreply@ircc). It stated that there's an update in my application.
I logged in and I saw, the application has been re-opened again(status - Submitted[]) and the Application status now says,
"We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you."
The background check status says,
"We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."
There's no re-medical request, there's no document request.
Anyone else who got this update in their application.
Application approved/PPR request - November 2019
PPR/CoPR - Decmber 2019
CoPR expired - April 2020
Surviving - April 2020 - Present
Same here... Did medical on 18 and passed on 22 January this year ... No PPR yet .....Hello ,
It has been 3 months since i redid my medicals as requested by IRCC, I have passed the medial exam back in Jan and there are no updates so far.
I wonder how long it will take for the next step. I am a pre march copr holder, and hope they start issuing new copr soon...
Anyone also waiting after remeds?
VO: Abu Dhabi
Good luck to all.
did they ask you for meds or you did an upfront one? Also when did your copr expire? and which VO ?Same here... Did medical on 18 and passed on 22 January this year ... No PPR yet .....
Thank you, dear friend.
- They are re-assessing for all expired CoPRs, so don't worry - your file will remain open. They are making their way through the backlogs now.
- My CoPR expired in June 2020, and I received my pre-March 18 2020. I've had almost the same sequence of events and I'll be doing my medicals tomorrows.
- So no need to panic, in all likelihood it's only the medicals that they ask. In other cases, they may ask for a new PC - no other documents are looked at again at this stage.
Hi there.. I was also pre March copr holder and it got expired in July 2020. I sent them email in June that I won't be able to fly due to the pandemic. Now that I am able to fly and have raised couple of web forms but I didn't get any thing other than generic reply that they have forwarded my request to responsible person. I am just waiting for any kind of updates from IRCC.
I can't tell you for sure, but:
You are correct that as per IRCC's own former communications, your file should not have been closed. if you have to litigate your case, it shouldn't be difficult for a lawyer to overturn the closing of your file. but you'll probably never have to litigate it (see below).
I think the last email you received, where they state that your file will be permanently closed but can be reopened and reassessed if you reply within 10 days, is the latest standard email they send to people with expired CoPR. Most probably they changed their guidelines and wordings and some folks like you end up received contradictory emails. I myself received an email in July 2020 stating that my file would remain open if I am unwilling or unable to travel due to COVID. That was after I sent them a "not ready to travel" email as my COPR was expiring in August.
No one really knows what they mean by "reassessing" cases but my understanding is that they are talking about background check/police certificates and the medical visit.
Age and IELTS is frozen during R10 completeness check..
High chances - they'll ask for medicals if yours have expired or are about to expire.. maybe PCC (haven't read about anyone getting request for PCC)
In extremely rare cases, proof of funds..
But hey this is my opinion.. others or your VO may be have different opinion based on ur file.
Thanks for nice wishes, dear J. Singh.I just went through the last 5-6 pages of this thread. I wasn't caught up and it seems that a lot of people have been getting this update and they are getting re-medical request after a day or two of this update.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.
May God succeed every one.Congratulations everyone. Praying for all of us
Here's my story:I got an email from IRCC this morning saying my application has been updated.
The application status now says, "We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you." I guess there may be a medical/NOC request next hopefully.
Any update from your side?
Hi CNP can you please inform the remed request was by email or through communication received in the IRCC account? Also if you could share a screent shot hiding your personal details, that would be really helpful. Thanks.
Do you have more info on this, like for e.g. the way they are going through the backlogs and how they are organizing themselves between the different VOs? For some VOs they seem to be completely idle for months now.
