Do you have more info on this, like for e.g. the way they are going through the backlogs and how they are organizing themselves between the different VOs? For some VOs they seem to be completely idle for months now.

Hello ,

It has been 3 months since i redid my medicals as requested by IRCC, I have passed the medial exam back in Jan and there are no updates so far.
I wonder how long it will take for the next step. I am a pre march copr holder, and hope they start issuing new copr soon...

Anyone also waiting after remeds?

Same here. COPR was issued Pre March2020, expired in April2020. Did my re-medicals as asked by IRCC back in January2021, shows medicals passed on 24th January2021 but no updates so far. Let's hope they start sending out the COPR's soon.

Received an email saying there is a message pending in account. When I logged in to check, the messages section had IME pdf asking for medicals to be done

Frustrating as ive already started planning my move, the last step would be to resign from work but i cannot do that just yet.

yes...they asked me to submit remedical... Though I did upfront medical on 5th October 2020 as my previous one was expired on 12 September 2020.. but they didn't consider my upfront medical. Sent me remed request on 18 .I made my upfront linked with my file which I passed on 22 January 2021..... No PPR yet ...

Good to know, thanks. That means everyone will get a new COPR with around 11-12 months of validity. Even those who did an upfront medical for nothing (am in same situation).

that is if it is issued right after you pass the medical exam as per my understanding. It it usually 1 year from your medical test. For instance in my case now i have done my meds in jan and we are already in april, if they issue me the copr this month, i have already lost 3 months from it's 1 year validity. But again maybe every case is different..

I got an email from IRCC this morning saying my application has been updated.

The application status now says, "We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you." I guess there may be a medical/NOC request next hopefully.

Any update from your side?

Nope nothing for me I logged in and my profile looks exactly the same. How many days since you responded?

wonder if anyone else is still waiting for a response from ircc after responding to the march 29 "are you still interested in immigrating email?" Anyone??

When it clearly says "travelling directly from the US" this is plain and simple and will not include if you are a foreign national who lands in the US, stays there for a 2-3 days and then decides to move to Canada.

If you have doubts, you can call CBSA or try it out.

Well I am trying to have a friend in Canada call for me and ask. Hopefully he can get clarification for me.
I am a French citizen living in Australia on a temporary visa that ends in June, so it gets pretty urgent for me.... I was hoping that with a visa expiring and a Canadian contract they could let me in, but I need to be sure before I quit everything here, can't really just wing it
