Hi,

I am from China and now living there. I received my COPR issued in April and will expire in October :(. What could I do now? Could I send Webform to IRCC and tell them that I'm ready to travel, or only people whose COPR has expired can do so? Thanks!
You need to wait for travel restrictions to be lifted by Canada as your CoPR is issued after 18th March 2020. If you cant travel by Aug end then you can raise the webform based on the situation at that moment.

unfortunately you are not eligible to travel since your COPR was issued in April. Only those who were issued COPR on or before 18th March are exempt

I am planning to book Air Canada for September. There is too much risk booking Vande Bharat with expired COPR because the last VB is available for Jul 25 and is non-refundable.
Are you sure that AIR Canada will resume in Sept? Not being pessimist but I would suggest to wait for commercial flight to resume. Even Delhi vfs wont work unless commercial flights resume.

I need clarification:

Do we still need to raise a webform before our expiry of COPR stating inability/unwillingness to travel, or should we only raise one webform and that is only at the time of our intent to travel? was there any change in this advice from IRCC?

I agree with your sentiments. I prefer taking some action now to waiting and taking no action at all. Plus, I have to join a job in Canada. So I cannot wait endlessly.

I keep wondering how the COPR would get extended even if NDVO opens up... would I have to take medical test again and get another visa stamped? Would IRCC consider giving an e-Visa or a letter approving an extension of COPR?
What if you get your COPR extended till Sept only and you are still not able to fly becasue of this COVID? Are you going to send a web form for another extension? Flexible tickets are fine but we dont know anything about extensions till now.
So there are lot of uncertainties.

Good question, and agree that there are lot of uncertainties. If I get COPR extension but commercial Flights are unavailable, I’ll have to take VB.

And I think everyone knows here, how difficult it is to get a ticket in VB unless you are confident about getting a ticket in VB.

Maybe we can try calling on the CIC number and asking them directly if they'll extend incase local office is still closed.

No need to worry. You did your part of raising the webform. There are very few exceptional cases where NDVO has reopened the files but after that there are no updates on their files. My file is not opened yet and my CoPR expired 2 months ago. NDVO is not fully functional yet and they are waiting for commercial flights to resume for any communication regarding extensions.
Thank you. That gives me a little bit of relief.

Hey guys, assuming that the Canadian travel restrictions end on July 31 as planned, do you think that means softlandings won't be prohibited anymore?

Seems unlikely will not be extended given there is talk even about US/Canada border being restricted for an undefined / indefinite period and also anyway quarantine is still required for all arrivals through end August which may also be extended

Nobody here knows of course so all speculation

Please help me to give me exact link to raise IRCC WEB FORM for extension. (I wasted lots of time and confusion in selecting correct web form).

My COPR expiring in 1 months and I have to inform IRCC.

I was sponsored by my husband as a spouse in family class.

Thanks
