COPR and coronavirus

I was issued CoPR on March 15 (which is still on it's way through courier) and is valid till May 15. Since Canada has closed it's border, shall I raise web form query for not being able to travel before CoPR expiry? Or, I wait for another month and see how things change?
Same here. My COPR will expire on May 21st and my flight was supposed to be on April 9th (obviously cancelled).
There is nothing official about how long the lockdown will last so we can't really say we won't be able to fly before our COPR expires.
Just like you I am thinking to wait another month instead of sending a webform.
Is that the right thing to do?

I have planned my softlanding on March 26th as my CoPR is ending on april 4th. I have also booked my h1b visa stamping on march 30th. But in this situation i am concerned how the situation is going to impact.
Skip the Visa appointment, get it rescheduled if possible. Land on March 26 or earlier and then turn around and come back to US immediately using AVR.

Hi everyone, do you think one can still go flagpoling before 18 Mar? I am now in Ontario, and am thinking to go flagpoling at the CAN-US border today, before the arrival restriction policy becomes effective. Thanks.

Hi everyone, hoping to get some clarity through all the chaos. I am a citizen of Canada and my husband has a valid COPR. He purchased his ticket and was intending to land in Toronto on April 10. Since he is immediate family to a Canadian citizen would he be allowed entry even though he does not yet have PR status? Thankfully his COPR doesn’t expire until August 8th of this year so if he does not land now we still have some time. But since life altering plans have been made we are hopeful that he’ll be granted entry on April 10. Information regarding this would be truly helpful as I can’t seem to find a concrete answer anywhere. Thanks in advance.

ITA: April 17, 2019
Medicals: May 15, 2019
AoR: June 4, 2019
PPR: February 28, 2019
CoPR: March 15, 2020

Since medicals are valid for one year only, they expire on May 15, 2020. Normally, CoPR is valid until medicals are valid. That's why CoPR expires on May 15, 2020.
Ah okay, thanks. I’ll probably be in the same situation. My Passport is currently in the Ottawa office for stamping and it will be issued until 7 August since that’s when my medical expires.

I would wait for another month and see what’s going on with this virus but it doesn’t look good.

When did you have plans to fly? Do you have your tickets?

I am currently in the same situation as your husband, I have a COPR and my common-law partner in a Canadian citizen in Canada at the moment. I have contacted IRCC if I would classify as immediate family and how I would prove this boarding a plane/at the border that I have a canadian spouse. I will let you know once they get back to me.

Not sure. Someone raised a web form and is given 28 days to seek reply from them which usually is 5 days.

Many people have asked IRCC on twitter if they can land with valid CoPR. There is not a single reply from them which would clarify the scenario. I am sure they will come up with something concrete very soon.

can you all please call CBSA to confirm. The agent I talked to was pretty irritated by the calls and just said go to this site https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-special-measures.html and read

Landing appointments will be held by telephone Latest update: March 15, 2020
Starting March 16, 2020, we’re cancelling all in-person permanent resident landing appointments until April 13, 2020.

If you had a landing appointment already booked, it will be held by telephone.

We’ll contact you by email to let you know when your phone appointment will be. Use the web form if you need to update your contact information.

I told her I am outside of canada but she wouldn't say anything else.

It would help if they updated their website with the latest information rater than referring people to a site that isn't up to date and the information isn't relevant for a majority of people.

Exactly, its such a mess. I am in the USA and live about 6 hours from border. They wont even confirm if I can complete landing at border or not.

Just talked to another agent - what can i say yeah I called again :).

This time the agent was very polite, she said if you are in the USA, you can come over here and complete landing formality. I asked about quartine, she said Canada doesn't force anyone you can return to USA as long as US customs allow you to return back.

I called Canadian border, lady sad that you can enter from US only by land, but in the website it is not like that. Another issue is that she said there are many people we will not be able to process COPR.

Which border and phone number did you call?
