Did you provide any supporting documents for employment plans?

May be its just a strategy to delay the extension.
Its for safeguarding the interests of the Canadians in this pandemic. They don't want any influx of people (except US) at this time. This delay is creating an immigration gap that eventually needs to be filled.

Hi just sharing my experience which took place 2 hours ago, I had a round trip ticket, and I was denied to board the plane cuz airline has to call CBSA for each foreign passengers. I am guess it’s the round trip ticket that caused the denial to board. I am rather annoyed, cuz yes soft landing is an option for me but I am also thinking to settle at the same time hence my ticket is an open year round ticket (considering it is also cheaper). The airline was asking if I have any lease agreement of job offer... which I don’t have and almost impossible to have while I have not landed.
Not sure what was the issue, but you should have asked them whats the exact reason? Have u ever asked them? I flew 2nd august (temporary landing) from abu dhabi and have return ticket, no one is looking into that...and thats logic. What if u land and purchasing a one way ticket again after landing, what if u have the valid visa of the country ur departing from, doesnt make sense, for me my travel experience was real smooth and no hiccups at all,

Hey !
One still has to raise a webform .
« «
Only permanent resident applicant who are in possession of an expired COPR and PRV and who are ready to travel to Canada should contact IRCC using the Web form, to provide information on when the COPR expired and the non-discretionary reason(s) for travelling. Once Web forms are received, the Client Support Centre will refer them to the appropriate processing network (CN or IN), which will assess them based on the eligibility criteria below. » »

The placement of this paragraph after enumeration of all groups might give an impression that it applies to only the last group. However, this is not the case .
Hey Smithplato,

Just to clarify, raising a webform prior to the expiry of CoPR is not necessary anymore right? - only when we're 'ready to travel' ?

Guys, those who raised the 'Ready to travel' webform, how long before the actual travel date did you all do it?

My local VO (Colombo) said one month prior should be fine. But I would like to know others' experience as well....

I think even a COPR holder from USA has to answer the same questions before getting an extension.

Hi, congrats on your landing. I was interested to know about your landing experience.

Did they ask you if you are landing temporarily or permanently? If they asked about it, did they ask for any documentation either way? What documentation were you carrying on you?

Are you currently quarantining in Canada?

So I raised a web form, got a response asking me to provide all the details like quarantine plans , itinerary etc(check their website for more details), replied to that, a week later, guess what I got??

The same exact response asking for the same exact details.

IRCC is above rationality.
Sorry to hear this. Did you also provide a quarantine plan, how you'll arrange for groceries and medical care?

Hello,

i recently read on ircc website regarding soft landing. for now they aren't allowing anyone to do soft landing? and when they say soft landing, does it mean to have shorter stay than quarantine period (which is 14days)? is there any way out to come back lets say in a months time?

the reason why i looking for option is at the moment Canadian economy is struggling due to pandemic and due to the fear of not getting employed there i wanna keep my chances to continue my existing employment.

looking for feedback.

TIA

my copr is expiring on 2nd October, and i got copr on 27 February 2020. please clarify me if i can travel even with expired COPR? if cant make it before the expiry. i have skimmed through the comments of few folks here and they discussing if one has approved copr on or before 18 march... if it does then even after expiry they can travel? if they can, are there any requirements to fulfill before travel?

Thats fine but all the VOs are working differently. There is no harm in raising "Inability to travel" webform.
Where can I find "Inability to travel webform"? Please share the link or screenshot if you see this category in the list of webforms
