Man calling it a scam won't even do justice to word itself ... There is this post I saw on Twitter where the price of ticket jumped from 9k+ to direct 20k ... The flight was from some UAE country to India.... 11k hike within 5 secs ..

There was a tweet from an Indian student in Australia back in June. He compared Air India business class price with other airlines.

AI was charging around 3 lacs for business class from Sydney-Delhi. The same journey costs 1.2 lacs on Cathay Pacific and 1.9 lacs on Singapore Airlines. Imagine 5 star airlines come cheaper than Air India lol.

Hello Guys,

I have a question about GC online account, if anyone can help please.
My wife's visa was issued on March 14th and it expired on 16th June. I raised a webform to canada immigration for an extension. They replied saying my request was tranferred to my VO-New delhi.
So I raised a webform there and got a reply saying we will contact you once the commercial flights resume.
But the question is when i log in to my online GC key account, it says the COPR has expired. Shouldn't it say the file has been re-opened or in progress or something? I think that's what it says for some people in this thread?
Can anyone please explain?

No need to worry. You did your part of raising the webform. There are very few exceptional cases where NDVO has reopened the files but after that there are no updates on their files. My file is not opened yet and my CoPR expired 2 months ago. NDVO is not fully functional yet and they are waiting for commercial flights to resume for any communication regarding extensions.

with the current situation, i don't think normal commercial flights will resume this year, !!

Does anyone know if it is possible to undergo medical examination in a different country? For example, if I go to Turkey and take exam there even though I am not a resident of Turkey?

We passed medical in Poland, though live in Ukraine

Interestingly, the email contains a copy of my IRCC details and my webform. In particular, it states that I am a "PROTÉGÉ B" (PROTECTED B in French).

Anyone knows what that means?

What is "protected" information?
Answer:
Information is "protected" if its disclosure could harm interests other than the "national interest."
There are three levels of protected information:

1) Protected C (extremely sensitive): applies to the very limited amount of information that, if compromised, could reasonably be expected to cause extremely grave injury outside the national interest, for example, loss of life.
2) Protected B (particularly sensitive): applies to information that, if compromised, could reasonably be expected to cause serious injury outside the national interest, for example, loss of reputation or competitive advantage.
3) Protected A (low-sensitive): applies to information that, if compromised, could reasonably be expected to cause injury outside the national interest, for example, disclosure of exact salary figures.

Yes, they have also clarified the same in multiple reponses regarding the same on twitter. For those who reside in US with valid approved COPR can travel to Canada irrespective of the date when their COPR is issued.

Well! If COVID-19 is the real reason for restricting outlanders then US would have been the last passenger to board the ship, but we live in the world of capitalism and trade deals where however, smart and hard any Govt. try to convince otherwise, its always comes back to $$$. Canada is no different and hence, yes US travellers are allowed to enter!!! For the rest of us, we can keep counting the stars....

Received following in reply to the raised webform-- "ready to travel". What do think about point 1 and 3? Do we have to have a ticket for traveling and lease document (the easiest one among three!) to establish the willingness to live and settle before the extension? Or these can be addressed during our travel upon receiving the CoPR extension?

According to our records, you have indicated that you are now ready to travel to settle and live in Canada as a permanent resident. Currently, only CoPR holders whose travel to Canada is considered essential are able to enter Canada. In addition, some public health measures are in place to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Canada.

Accordingly, we ask that you confirm that you are able to fulfill the requirements described below. In order for IRCC to determine if you can indeed travel to Canada, you must provide the following:

1. Your plans to live and settle in Canada upon arrival
· documents to support your living situation in Canada (i.e. address, lease agreement, home ownership document)

Travel for temporary stay for reasons such as tourism, entertainment or simply to finalize applications without staying in the country is not allowed and will not be permitted.

Soft landing is not considered as essential travel. If you have no intentions of permanently moving now then you should seek for extension
