Hi everyone!
I was hoping someone with experience in Common Law Sponsorship can help me with my situation.
My partner and I have lived together for two years in the UK as of the end of November 2017. During the last two years, I have returned home to Canada to visit family and friends, and due to my partners work/and finances, he was not able to join me on these occasions. Because flights aren't cheap, my visits home were all 2-3 weeks long to make it more worth the money.
So our cohabitation is as follows:
November 30, 2015 - the day my visa started, we moved in together
May 2016 - I went home to see my family for 3 weeks. I did not have a job, and we were staying with family at this time.
January 2017- By now I am working in the UK (since August 2016), so I went home for a late Christmas for 3 weeks. Had many ties to the UK by now including tenancy agreement in UK, bills in UK, and also a job I had to get back to in the UK).
June/July 2017- 2.5 weeks (all the same ties in the UK as last trip)
My visa expires November 30, 2017.
So, I am wondering if those breaks are OK and will we be accepted as a Common Law Partners if I was to apply right now (Outland) or in a few months(Inland)? If not, I guess we will need to stay in the UK a little bit longer...
Thank you!
