Ok thanks... wow this is really getting difficult by the day lol.... I have to convince my ex to allow my children to undergo medical. Is there a specific hospital that the canadian embassy is requiring? Because they live in the province they live in Davao. Or will any hospital do? Because I have to fly them all to manila and they have school.

Check the CIC website for a list of Designated Medical Practitioners (DMP) in the area where you live. Only a DMP can do a medical for Immigration purposes.

ok thanks ;D ;D ;D ;D

since we are under the conjugal partnership category do we still need to fill up the statutory declaration of common law union form? I'm just confused with all these. Thank u so much

By the way we are in the same situation.....my partner is also married to a previous partner with no divorce allowed.

In the Philippines specific form it says we must provide a marriage certificate, but I'm sure they mean for married couples like to us eachother. Otherwise they want a cenomar. We can't provide a cenomar and the marriage certificate she has is to someone else. Should we still include it?

Cenomar is only for single people it is certificate of no marriage she wouldn't be issued that since she was previously married. Probably the embassy will ask for proof that the previous marriage already ended like a separation agreement perhaps or if you can have someone testify that her previous marriage already ended when u started your relationship. This is my understanding. I too cannot provide cenomar and I can't even provide a separation agreement because my ex husband is a violent person and so is his family and they are pretty much powerful in the province, that's also one of the reasons I cannot have my kids undergo through a medical. I really feel like our case is hopeless. I really miss my partner we really feel miserable being apart. But him staying here will endanger his safety. :( :( :(

Your case isn't hopeless, it will be ok if you try hard

For your kids unfortunatly I think they must take the medical exam otherwise I don't think u can bring them to canada ever, which I'm sure is tough news =/

Good luck!

unless you've lived together for 12 months, filling out this form would be lying... to CIC, a common law relationship is one in which the partners have lived together for 12m

that form is only for common-law; since u did not live together continously for 1 year it does not apply to u....u'll be applying under "conjugal partner" class

overall i suggest u both take ur time, read carefully all the guides and operational manual about outland applications - what they follow in a conjugal relationship, hoe they assess conjugal partners, etc, gather proofs as much as u can, organize them, write essays abt ur relationship (both of u) and so so many other things...it looks easy at first but when u start to dig into it, it will take lots of ur time....also u want to make it right from the first try, so don't rush the preparation; good luck!! :)

my partner and I lived together for 3 weeks in a hotel on his first visit and lived together for 5 weeks during his second visit. Is this considered cohabitation even for such a short time? can I put it in my form with the question about cohabitation? Thanks

No, it's considered visiting.

me too i thought we could put that as cohabitation but after more reading and more help from here :) it's not, it's just visit...notice that there is a different question abt visiting each other, so there's a clear distinction between one and the other :)
