Well that's the million dollar question now isn't it? PMM said the same thing months ago when this first was getting discussed. There is no indication yet and certainly no language in this proposed legislation that would remove the right of appeal of removal to a PR, conditional or not. As PMM had pointed out then, this legislation has not been thoroughly thought out. It would need to be significantly re-worked. Or perhaps dropped completely. Who knows? This Minister reponds quickly to pressure from the press so when the next high-profile case of marriage fraud hits the news, I expect something to be done. But I'm hoping that they will have put more thought into it by then. This government seems very committed to doing something about this problem and they get a lot of pressure from the south Asian communities on this topic.CharlieD10 said:How, though? Are they planning to drop all the recourses to appeals that currently are in effect for PRs in the case of Conditional PRs?
Hey PMM! Did you get your crystal ball working yet? Wish that darn thing could tell us what this will look like!
