I second it. Due to this even genuine students are rejected for visas.

$5-$9 approx but not legally + all cash jobs. Not extremely difficult to get. Also pay and job type and availability varies region wise.

Can't we do job till 6 months? means up to june ?

how to survive? as i am not from wealthy family.

And when to apply for SIN card?

Well yes acc. to CIC rules you can't work for the first six months of ur study.After that u can apply for an off campus work permit.Which further takes 2 months.So a total of 8 months.Even i am nt from a wealthy family dats y I posted this to get idea how can we survive.Also I have a friend of mine there, she says that some require a SIN no. while some don't thats upto the employer.

The thing is nt about spp or non spp.

this is the list of institutions whose enrolled students are eligible to apply for an off campus work permit

Also, at least have a backup for at least 5-6 months if not 8 months !

Yes, i have gone through this before a month.

Under SPP, students are allowed to work 20 hrs/week. DURING STUDY PERMIT.

This is what i have been told when i have applied .

If it is not so......

it is too bad news for me

I read some where , that till u get the off campus work permit which takes upto 6 months , u can do on campus jobs also .
so i dont think there is any need to worry about .

on campus jobs r available like library assistant and canteen jobs
