I realize I've been posting quite a bit today, but it's only because everyone's input has been invaluable to my girlfriend's application!
I have (hopefully) one final question:
There are a ton of spots in the application that ask for information from the spouse/common-law partner; however, I am pretty certain that for many of these sections I (as the sponsor) do not actually need to submit extra documentation.
For example, "non-accompanying family members declaration" is to be done by spouse, common-law partners, or dependent children. Although I am the common-law spouse, I am exempt from this form as I am the sponsor, correct? Another similar form is the Schedule A Background (IMM5669E); they have an option for the principal applicant (my gf) and one for "the spouse" (me). I don't actually need to fill in this form for myself as I am the sponsor, right? Only my girlfriend needs to fill in this form.
There are many places where the two terms seem to conflict, and so I just want to be certain that the application is complete before we submit everything.
