I spent one year studying and living in Ontario before moving to Edmonton for an onsite job. I worked there for three months before transitioning to a remote job. After a few months back in Ontario, I moved to Saskatoon where I have been working remotely for the past year. I also received my PR status (through Express Entry) during this one-year duration in Saskatchewan. I possess a Saskatchewan driver's license and a one-year rental agreement. Would these documents be sufficient for my sister to claim close relative points on her SINP application? Any information on this would be highly appreciated, thanks!

Hi,
You need to spend at least 6 months in Saskatchewan and as per my understanding the utility bills is enough to show ties that you are settled in Saskatwechen. I applied through SNIP back in 2019 and got the nomination based on the same, but my sister was living and working in Prince Albert.
But again, you are good to go and thats more than enough for her to apply. Any questions feel free to ask.

Thank you for your response and sharing your timeline. It would also be helpful if you could provide details about your work experience and field of study, especially if you claimed points for work experience. I am interested in learning more about how to claim those extra points.

My sister has 14 years of IT work experience in NOC 0213. However, she graduated with a bachelor's in Electronics Engineering, with electronics as her major and computer science as her minor. Only two out of twenty courses were in computer science. It may be difficult to show both education and work experience under the same NOC. Do you have any suggestions on how to handle this issue?
