hi. im sponsoring my husband who lives with me in Canada. Which option should i pick?

a) I am currently living in Canada with my sponsor, and I am applying under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
b) I am currently living outside Canada, and I am applying under the Family Class
c) i am currently living in Canada, and I am applying under the Family Class (not under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada
Class). I understand that I may be convoked to attend an interview at a visa office outside Canada.
i got confused because some say family class some say under spouse

Are you familiar with the difference between an inland and outland application? If you are applying inland with work permit, choose A. If you want to apply outland, choose C.

Hey. Maybe check out the complete guide to confirm your class. Ours is pretty easy because we live in Australia together (have lived together for more than a year so common law) so we are Outland and family class. Unfortunately I do not know much about the inland differences....but yeah, I even got confused after reading the complete guide so good luck! Hopefully some inland applicants can help you more :)

If your husband is remaining with you non-stop in Canada and has no reason to leave the country during the processing of the application, you would be applying inland (option A). This will enable your husband to apply for an open work permit so that he could work while the application is in process. Be aware that choosing this option means that your husband cannot leave Canada during the application processing until it is completed, or he risks voiding the application and having to start over.

Option B is if you live in Canada and your husband lived outside Canada.

Option C is that your husband lives with you in Canada but would be travelling outside Canada at some point during the application process. He will be able to stay for the duration of his current visa and then either leave the country and return later or apply to extend his visa. He will not be able to seek a work permit during the processing of the application and will be unable to work legally in Canada until the application is complete and PR is granted.

Spouse/common-law status is an inland application. Family class is outland.

I hope this helps.
