So you would be happy for your personal/ confidential information to be pushed out to an employees home where it could be seen or even shared with anyone who happens to be located or visits said home or worst case mislaid. That’s a pretty big responsibility to place on a government employee, sure maybe workable for any online work but paper submissions that might be a whole different thing. Plus of course would assume an employee has a dedicated home office space and not just kitchen table to stack up a pile of confidential papers.

They can play mischief with person information even when they are at the office. So it makes no difference. So what if they dont have a dedicated work space? Neither do I and I am expected to work at the same pace as before, as do millions of others! The only difference is, govt workers are never fired for poor performance and have a union, I don't have those luxuries.

So much concern and sympathy for well paid, gold plated pension receiving govt workers, but none for immigrants?

The only thing i can suggest. Instead of crying and complaining, get a doctors or engineering degree and u will be fine. U will get paid and have a good pension.

It seems you are perfectly content with the status quo. So why are you here arguing with people? For you it's so easy - just log off and be happy to wait forever. It makes sense for those of us who are unhappy with IRCC to make noise.

I want it so I can travel freely and not be treated like garbage around the world due to my passport. I dont wish for this to be exclusive to Canadians or just 1st world passports. I dont give a damn about prestige. I will be very happy when a Canadian passport is no more 'prestigious' than an Ethiopian one.

that is exactly the same reason I want citizenship, because of the freedom we will get with the passport, and not being treated like criminal in USA and/or any other country

Don't see why it wouldn't be safe to have the test in an outdoor space, for example within an open air stadium. I'm sure there are safe solutions which could be implemented immediately, if there was the willingness to do so.

Too many arguments. If 90% of the economy is back to work then so should IRCC employees. We are working and paying taxes in this environment which are going in their salaries. On top, paying heavy fees as well. Cant understand the privileges of IRCC unionized employees. They should get back to work ASAP and no excuses, like the rest of us.

Omg!! Waiting for test since 2017? This is very long, im wondering if this is related to complex file such as previous work in government elsewhere or military? Do you have any records? Or are you from middle east?

I read alot of comments from people who have matched one of those situations and got delayed more than anyone else.

The chances of paper work falling into the wrong hands is much less in an office where there’s security and controlled entry. Also, the chances that an employee will misuse info is also lower at an office.

I would say we should relax & enjoy the summer instead of suffering from anxiety all time ‘ like myself’ . It is going to be long wait .
