Can anyone email me their phone no who has given the test in Edmonton at tarry65@yahoo.com. I need to take some advise on the questions which are coming in the test for Edmonton candidate.

Hi, I've just started the process and here is my current timeline:
"We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 11, 2013.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 11, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
We started processing your application on April 8, 2013."

I think now the most difficult part is started: waiting 12-24 months to hear back from them. Wish me luck and good luck to you all!

Outlaw, that is a big jump on the processing.
T'was the same period last year when I applied, and they started processing only in November.

CIC started to process applications very quickly now, but we still do not know how long it will take for these new applicants to receive their test date. They might have to wait longer for that ....

Did they mention how long it will take to receive the oath letter?
I took the test at the end of April and we were told, before we started the test, that we should receive the test invitation within 2 months. If we do not receive anything within 6 months that means we did not pass the test and have to see a citizenship judge (which will take about 2-2.5 years ...)

Has anyone received oath invitation letter for June or July? There is only one ceremony listed for July 1st in Edmonton and nothing for June.

It takes a few months for CIC to process the test result and send you an oath ceremony letter. So don't worry, you just have to wait. CIC is very good at making people wait!

Hi! Any Timeline updates from Edmontonians who have submitted their Citizenship application at Sydney, N.S. from June 2012 onwards?
I have submitted my application last year June 6, 2012, they have received it on June 8, 2012. Then I got this Discovery magazine(reviewer) and have not heard from them yet as of now July 2013. Not even the DATE that shows "IN PROCESS..."
I guess this means that my papers are still in the floor inside the CIC office in Nova Scotia
And now that is summer time, I bet it will take more waiting time because the "only guy" who processed the Edmonton applicants in Sydney office is now on vacation. ;D
Oh well, lets just enjoy Summer that never last. Thats all we can do for now wait.
