I meant there is no hotel quarantine for 3 days which costs about 2k person or around that amount and higher for a family .
It's a lot easier than the fly option. Though the best option is really to ask for a new date, and be ready to accept the consequent delay. I personally don't think the quarantine, flight and risk of travel is all necessary. It's better to be safe and get it done slowly. Be Safe, that's the most important
In fact they'll reschedule it in 2-3 weeks ahead, which doesn't change anything. On top of that my PR expires in a month and it's a kind of perfect storm situation((. Thank you anyway!
In the invitation is stated, that I have to be physically present in Canada and I guess, there's a difference in terms "landed" and "physically present". I can't find any official definition of "physically present", do you have any? For instance, if someone is applying for a shelter or asylum, he/she should be physically present on a territory of state. Waiting for reply from CBSA and IRCC, both are keeping silence as for now.

Yeah, that would be best to do. Pandemic caused a delay, and we'll wait it out a bit.....less options to weigh and less worry, less stress..

On a sidenote, it is funny that you "land" when you are getting a flight to the US, but not when you get back to Europe.

Just something to consider. It's not uncommon for people to have technical difficulties, either before/during or after. I do think flying in and immediately out is a risky strategy. Does your PR or PR card expire? Can you apply for a new one? You'd have to come back for oath anyway too
Yes, it's risky. However, it is, what it is. PR card is expiring in a month and I need to apply for a new one on a Canadian soil as well. So, seriously considering to jump in 14-day quarantine. Literally, no other way here...

Echoing the many caveats, the logistics of accomplishing a turnaround test attendance within the airport are so daunting as to be, well, hardly worth considering, if at all feasible . . . suggesting most likely not.
Note, among other things, that a person is NOT IN Canada unless and until they have cleared border control, and then actually entered Canada. (Being within the physical territorial limits does not do it.)
Been awhile since I went through the process at Pearson to fly to the U.S., so apart from memory issues there's a likelihood things have changed. But apart from that, my sense is just attempting to do this at the least RISKS triggering a flurry of red flags to be followed by long delays and non-routine processing of a rather inconvenient sort, with further risk of things going askew.
Will further observe, without going into tangents, that there are other risks lurking in the wings here. This appears to be a situation in which it would be prudent to keep things as simple and direct as possible. Living abroad while a citizenship application is pending appears to go OK for many, but there are risks, potential pitfalls, and more than a few somewhat wide cracks into which things can fall. At the very, very least, be especially careful to not make any misrepresentations or otherwise be evasive, let alone deceptive, including in regards to your employment or where you live. Beware of the tendency of some commentary here to be based on what people have been able to, more or less, get-away-with (or so they think, at least for the short-term), which is not the same, not at all, in it being OK.
Yep, you cannot pass the test in airport transit zone, however, you can leave the country in less than 14 days using regular airline.

What if someone cross checks your arrivals/departures with CBSA before or after your oath? As per CBSA records, you will show up as not in Canada (because you didn't go through immigration on to the land side). Then your citizenship can be denied or revoked later.
If you can do the immigration, cross to land side and then fly back, then you should be fine.
