Saying someone can be an officer vs. accusing someone is pretty much splitting hairs. There is no reason to hint, imply, accuse, state, or question if someone is an officer in this thread.First of, I didn't accuse him, I ve said that he can be an IRCC officer.
Second, don't you ever be scared of fighting for your right because you pay your taxes in this country just like Canadians do. You are not a second class citizen and you deserve to have your application to be process properly. You paid your dues and have the right to know. Ok ??
Public service officers are paid with our taxes and you know what they usuallly due in normal time ? They drag their work, they are known for that. Having a global pandemic is the perfect opportunity to drag even more. The only way to encourage them to work is to put pressure on them.
I just had an example a few weeks ago with a federal agency that will remain unnamed. The inspector gave me a delay of 2 months to process my file, which I believe didn't make sense at all because of low complexity of my file. But hey it is all because of Covid. 2 months later the file was not processed. So I emailed his boss, the general inquiries email address and cc him to know what is going on, the next morning everything is good to go. I even had an email from him apologizing for the delay he had caused.
This is how they operate, now if you don't want to do anything about, please have the decency to let people fight for their right at the end of the day it might be beneficial for yourselves.
No one is scared about asking the IRCC or their local reps about the status of restarting tests or their applications. Some of us are objecting to how some people want to go about asking for test restarting.
Everyone in Canada pays taxes. It has no connection to immigration status beyond proof of residency in Canada. We don’t get extra credit for following Canadian law, it’s expected that we do.
Not all public workers “drag” their work. Like all humans in the planet, some work more efficient than others. Your limited experience with one employee doesn’t define all of them. You no idea what that employee was doing.
For all you know, after his boss read your email he asked the employee why your file wasn’t done. The employee says, “I’m working on 20 files, this guy is number 11. Should I just jump on his?” Boss could have replied, “Is it pretty straight forward? Think you can get it done today?” Employee answers, “Yeah, paper work is clean, should be quick.” Boss says, “Great, just do that and shoot the guy an email.”
No one knows why some times things get delayed. An apology doesn’t always mean, “Sorry I did something wrong.” It can also mean, “Sorry you had to wait.”
Personally, I haven’t had any issues with IRCC beyond the normal wait times. I certainly wouldn’t use my limited experience to claim that there aren’t any problems. I 100% believe that they screw up sometimes. I don’t believe it’s part of a larger plot to screw us all over. I am a huge believer in Occam’s razor.
Again, no one is saying don’t do anything. Some of us don’t agree with the tactics that others are employing. I haven’t seen anyone stop someone from doing anything. The closest I’s read on this forum are some people trying to repress differing opinions of some posters they don’t agree with by telling them they shouldn’t practice their rights of freedom of expression on this forum.
