Hi Brzcastas,

First of all congratulations to you. Out of curiosty, would you mind sharing if your application was single or family app? My app was received by CIC on July 4th and processing started on Feb 7th and I noticed in your timeline that your application was received on July 6th but your app processing started a month earlier than mine. I can only think of one reason, that CIC had asked us to re-submit my son's photograph because Costco forgot to stamp the date pic was taken.

I am just thinking if CIC is taking more time processing family applications.

Cheers,

Your timeline is very similar to mine. Although I applied before you, yours was processed faster. Not that it's your fault, but it just makes the wait more frustrating to realize that.

My timeline is the following:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on June 2, 2011.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on June 2, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on January 12, 2012.

We sent you a notice on April 5, 2012 to appear and write the citizenship test on April 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM.

We have been keeping you on the edge of your seat since April 26, 2012 at 4:00 PM.
