Hi,

I'm in the process of applying for a Canadian Citizenship certificate for my 10 week old daughter. She was born in England, where myself a British Citizen and my Wife a Canadian Citizen by birth currently live.

I've filled out the application form no problem, paid the fee and printed the receipt, I have a copy of my babes birth certificate and a copy of my wifes birth certificate. I'm using a copy of her British Passport as her photo I.D
I've got 2 visa sized photo's as required of my baby daughter.

Now my question is what do I need to write on the back of the photo's?. and do I need them signed if so who by? I'm not sure who in England would be accepted.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Back of Photo must have:

1) The name of the photographer or the studio, the studio address and the date the photos were taken

2) The name of the person.

HTH.

Further to my reply above:

***In the case of a child under 12 months of age, photos do not need to meet the citizenship specifications.
The photo must be of the child only and must clearly show the face of the child. The photos do not need
to be signed or dated by a photographer.

Where did you find that exception? I double-checked the application instructions as well as the photo specifications page for the proof of citizenship certificate and it doesn't show any exceptions...

Hmmm... I have it on my computer for a while now, downloaded from CIC website some months back. Couldn't find it on the CIC website anymore as of today, but was able to find it from this link:

I gather this still applies, especially for newborn babies, infants.
