my concern is regarding the PCC docs. I had submitted all the PCCs during my PR application. I just completed 3 years in Canada. Do I still need to arrange the PCCs for the period outside Canada, prior to my first landing during my citizenship application
Specifically for Saudi, CIC waives the PCC if I am not a legal resident now. I am wondering if they would still need me to submit a PCC for Saudi.
According to the guide, you need to provide a PCC.

Within the last 4 years, if you spent 183 days or more in another country (other than Canada), you must provide a police certificate. You must provide a police certificate for each country where you spent 183 days or more. If you cannot get a police certificate, tell us why.

Hi Everybody..(Attn: @spyfy )
I was just taking a look at the application form (I am assuming it's the updated one). I have 3 questions-

Question 1:
Step 3 – Gather your documents
Submit the following documents with your application
  • photocopies of all valid and expired passports or travel documents you had in the past 5 years
My previous passport expired on December 3, 2012. So I would have to include photocopies of that expired passport and my current passport- right?

Question 2:
10 a-Write all your addresses inside and outside of Canada you used during your eligibility period, including the postal codes, starting with your current home address.

We stayed at a couple of hotels for 2 weeks before finding an apartment. I am assuming I should mention those hotel addresses as well? (I can't remember the room number, so I guess I should just fill the hotel name and address?)

Question 3:

10 b- Within the last 4 years, if you spent 183 days or more in another country (other than Canada), you must provide a police certificate.

We landed as Permanent residents (from India) on April 20th 2014 and made no visits back to India after that. So if I backtrack 4 years from today- that would make it 191 days in India between October 11th 2013 (4 years back) to April 20th 2014. So does that mean we have to get Police clearance from India?

Also- does it mean that, if I wait for another 10 days and then apply- the number of days in India between October 21st 2013 and April 20th 2014 would be 181 days and therefore I would not need a Police clearance certificate?

Thanks in advance to anybody who can clarify.

LOL guys I think CIC is testing their changes with us. They upload unprintable forms with misleading and inapplicable questions so that they can get feedback and improve the forms before releasing a better one that can actually be printed.

based on the CIC website, they say PCC is available only for legal residents which is not the case for me anymore. Will I have to still provide it by any chance.....

The eligibility period is simply bulls##t.. I dont know if I have to provide a police check from back home for the period before I come to Canada or not because I got the permanent residence when I first landed May 2014!!!!!!! OMG
Eligibility period is 5 yrs; however, for the police clearances is only 4 yrs - not like that helps. Both used to be since you were a PR. It seems like some form of revenge, as if the writer of the requirements was a conservative. lol. Not to mention a form that doesn't work.

I just thought about it what a revenge by the writer!
I came to Canada as a permanent resident in May 2014. From October 2013 to April 2014 I was in my country living, and my pr application was in process. DO I still need police check !!!

It's late and I'm having trouble processing this question:

13. Have you ever had immigration or citizenship status in any country other than Canada, including your country of birth ?

If your country of birth is not Canada, that means we need to mention the country of birth in the table right ?

You fill "out" forms, you fill "up" a car gas tank, just saying, a little help with your ESL.
Thanks for the advice. Didn't know that we are attending an English class @ 2 AM o'clock.
FYI - The actual English way of saying it is: "Fill in the form" ... Just a tiny detail that might help us all in the ESL , right? ;)
