There could be delay in getting citizenship because of no work history. How many times he has traveled outside Canada?
Ultimately, if he can prove that he was there in Canada and meets the requirements of citizenship, he will get the citizenship it however worst case scenario expect request for additional documentation like RQ (Residence Questionnaire) etc.
Only traveled once for 7 days. What other forms of proof would they require for the RQ? he has a bank account, car insurance, cell phone records? I would imagine we could get letters from friends and family. Medical records? He's not sick often but occasionally goes to doc...I'm trying to think what we might need..also does it delay it a long time?

I would expect a little extra scrutiny specially if he is not employed and not studying.
Be prepard for him to show his residency in Canada.......

Although I wonder how he pays for it all yet without a job and living at different addresses than his spouse......red flag for sure.
Start gathering everything....its not necessary for application but it may be requested

Thank you. He works just not on tax return. Long story. I figured he's a huge red flag :(

Have you sponsored your husband originally or no? The only potential problem I can see is that if he came as a sponsored spouse and after you had different addresses.
No work history - not a problem. Residents don't have obligation to work. The important is to fill your taxes.

Yes his taxes are filed. I agree I am nervous as you are correct I did sponsor him. He did list my address for a couple years. We are still married not legally separated.
