Okay so you need to install both Hangouts and Hangouts Dialer. Then use the dialer to dial the number.I am in US.
I have Hangouts and Hangouts Dialer both installed. When I call 613-944-4000 number and use options 1-1-1 it says they are transfering my call. Once that message ends I get another automated message which says "We are sorry the toll free number you dialed is not available from your area". If you are FSW-O, then the IVR options are - 1-1-1-1-1-2-2-1-0. That will connect you to the agent.
You need to make the call at 6:55AM Central or 7:55AM Eastern. That will put you in the queue. If you call an hour later, you will be kicked out. They take calls only for the 1st hour or so in my opinion.

I am sure the operating hours would be more then just 7:55AM EST since this 4:55AM PST for people in BC. I am in California which is PST as well.

Oh I told them, that my AOR date was 7th November and that I passed Medicals on the 23rd. And since then I havent had an update to my application, so wanted to know if my eligibility and background checks were going fine.That's great. Maybe I should give them a call too. The lady said everything is fine but its just been a month. Application is progressing as expected.
However, calling seems to work. I got PPR today. I was on IP1 yesterday morning. Calling seems to get them to pull the file to check status and they seem to then go ahead and process it just because you called. So if you are on IP1 for a long time, give them a call.
