By here, doesn't she men the UAE? I think she does.
Yes missed that. Unfortunately you have missed the application date for this year's lottery. As previously Mentionned you need to speak to your children about how much they earn and whether they will be able to sponsor you. This will depend on their family size plus you and your common law partner. I would look into the process and see whether your family meet the income level and can continue to make the income cut-off for the following years while your sponsorship with your common law are processed. Their families will also have to take into account that if they have children the family size will go up and they will have to meet the income cut-off even if on mat leave or have a job loss. Parent sponsorship is a lottery so can take many years. The process can also take many years although it has become faster. I wouls encourage you to do some research on the Canadian government websites.

Thank you Canuck78. I have three children and one brother living in Canada and one child is married who doesn't have any child yet. I am 51 but my common law is 44. So I thought might he can go and search a job out there first so can sponsor me which will be quick as I thought as you told it can take years. He got few job offers before but he didn't accept when we were in Canada on our visit plus he is the one who is looking after the company I registered. That's why he asked me if he can go and search for some good job and later can sponsor me as I am also working here and I need two more years until my employment contract will end.

It is quite difficult to get a job in Canada. He will need his employer to apply for an LMIA which is a long and expensive process for the employer and then apply for a visa. Both could be refused. By the time he might be ready to apply for PR he will be over 45 which will probably be difficult. I think you need to do a lot of research on immigration and working in Canada.
