I am Canadian looking to sponsor my British husband under Family Class. My childern have dual citizenship and passports. The question is, do I have to include in the application, their Canadian Citizenship Cards or just their passports? I could not figure this out by reading the application guide! Cheers!

I included both for my boys just to be on the safe side. I would assume that the passport would be enough because the citizenship card was needed to get one but i think that more information is better just incase!!

Bad news for me as I have somehow lost one of the boys cards!! Anyone know how to expediate the 14month waiting period for a new one? I cant get anyone on the phone in London and noone has answered my emails ... I'm beside myself to think I have to wait almost two more years to get home! :( :'(

I requested, from the US, my kids certificates of Citizenship. I asked that it be expedited, and had them back in 2 weeks.
I'm not sure if they were just quick, or if it mattered, or if it would work if it did matter, in the future.
But, always worth a try.
I also indicated, why I wanted it expedited, was that we were in the process of returning to Canada in the next 4 months - when my status should by current timelines be hopefully available, and I said something about insurance/their health because we'll be going to Ontario where they will have a 3 month OHIP wait already, with added time if the Certs took longer.

A Canadian passport is sufficient proof of citizenship. I wouldn't worry. You should go about ordering new ones for later, though - you'll likely need them to renew their passports.
