AOA. Here's a problem. I am trying to send attached files to ldnimmigration @ international.gc.ca File is 22.20MB.for proof of continuous marriage. Each time there is failure notice. Also tried london-im-inquiry @ international.gc.ca but same notice. Now what to do? Web does not take more than 3 MB as tried to send scan by scan.

make ur files jpeg and resize them a bit, then throw them in a word file instead of a pdf... use a email service that allows 10mb file or more...

That's a good idea to save on weight but don't have a lot of weight even though I am going for the first time . I don't know what else to take .

take items such as gillette shaving blades (very expensive here)... bring bed sheets, curtains etc... or dresses for your mrs'... safe ideas...

Liquids and sharp items are not allowed onboard . Already sent bed sheets . my process was 3 years so she came every year and got curtains and bed sheets. Dresses I believe is a good idea. Will consult the Home Ministry. Also wondering if anyone knows places in Pakistan to get winter coats and jackets . I believe they are expensive in Canada . But not sure if pakistan will have heavy duty and according to can weather jackets and coats . Any other tips or items to be taken please ?

no liquids or sharp items in your hand carry... but you can bring shaving blades etc in your packed luggage... i always brings gillette mach 3 blades they are very expensive here... coats/jkts in Pakistan have a diff style compared to canada... i wont invest too much there... just bring 1 trendy/stylish one... bring cooking ware set... they are expensive here... there you can get really good ones cheap...

Can anyone guide me with extension of visitor visa. I know this isnt the right thread for this question but this is the most active thread and becoz i always post here i will stick to it.

my grandmother is in Canada on a visitor visa. her visa is valid until 2017 (multiple entry visa). but as far as I know a person on visit visa cannot stay in Canada for more than six months, how to extend her stay coz her visa is still valid.

Check the CIC site. You will find the details. You just have to fill the visitor visa extension form n also provide the details of her funds and maybe they will ask for a medical and insurance. But it's good if you attach all that with her application. It's recommended to apply about 30 days before she runs out of status BUT you can apply until the last day but not after her time of stay is over. She has applied status until they make a decision about her application.

if you want to appy online to extend your stay in canada, these are the steps:-

YOU CAN START FROM HERE: cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend/visa.asp

First determine your eligibility to apply online (cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/getting-started.asp)
step 1: Fill out the complete questionnaire
Step 2: on the completion of step 1 you will get a CODE, Write it down on a paper
step 3: create a Mycic account using the above CODE ( following the instructions while creating account)
step 4: Based on your questionnaire you answered in step 1, your Mycic account will automatically be consisting the application forms which you have to submit ( download them)
step 5: upload all the forms,your photo and documents and pay your fee in your Mycic account
Step 6: once everything completed Submit your application for processing.

-uploading supporting documents: scan them all, paste them in a word document file and upload them.
-After submitting wait for the outcome, they will notify about any updates in your Mycic account by sending you an email.
-Applying online will save your time as paper applications have longer processing times.
