Hello,
I'm Canadian wife, we applied for Spousal Sponsorship, Spouse in Canada in October, 2011, My spouse is a Pakistani National.
We filed our application to Vegreville in October 2011.
Our file was just transferred to a local immigration office in February 2014, cldearly outside the processing time indicated at CIC website.
I'm very sorry to hear how long this process is taking for others.
I'm disgusted as a Canadian citizen with the system the Canadian government has set up to deal with the process. You cannot reach a person, they speak like robots, they provide answers to questions you have not asked. Their information is misinformation in my experience.

There is no way to get an update from the CIC Website; a rational meaning update, rather than "your application is in process".

I was informed today by a CIC officer a the call centre today, verbatim (word for word):
"PROCESSING TIMES NO LONGER APPLY ONCE AN APPLICATION HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO A LOCAL OFFICE"
I feel desparate, and I am the Canadian in this situation. It is not what my spouse must go through....I get to stay in Canada, if this does not go in our favour.

May God speed all the applications for persons waiting to be with the one they love.

Khadija

Dear Khadija

lol man, they're trying to console you saying soon your file is gonna be opened ... unless you have been bugging them non-stop about the status of your application :D

Thanks....

I have invoices that me and my husband sent echother presents... plus additional phone bills that i want to add for further proof of relationship. Is it a good idea to send it?

Sure is.
also Order notes to keep yourself updated on visa officer's concerns, so they can be address in advance, it can save some processing time.
Good luck!

I went to my MP ... well, his assistant really, cz I don't think we can't access the MP directly; s/he is always away.

Anyway, I went to him and asked him the status 3 months ago and he said it's still awaiting officer's review. He apparently gets the info. from Ottawa and it takes him 1 day to get back with the response. He suggested I check in every 4 months ... next month will be my next visit so hopefully he can give me some good news!

AOA all,I've been reading this forum since long n it's really been v.helpful 4 me :)
i'm also july 2012 applicant, had remed. on dec.2013. since then received no correspondence except an e-mail from isl. abt transferring ov file 2 lndn.
ano987,my timeline is same as your's> hv u ever sent any additional docx voluntarily to ISB or Lndn. office?is it suggested 2 do so or wait 4 them 2 ask?

Yes my husband sent documents n proofs of his trip last year to ilsmbd office then after remedical we didnt send anything as we thought we would get ppr soon so didnt bother sending them again.
There is nothing wrong in sending documents voluntarily as it would give them a clear idea about your relationship if u do so...
Have you ordered notes??? cause i did last month n got them a week ago.. my file is in london assigned to some visa officer RG but nothing is started on it yet. last correspondence mentioned in notes was from islmbd regarding address change nothing from LVO uptill now.

so i should i ask that laywer who filled my case to check the status?

There is one question i want to ask those who ordered notes after remedical, Hubby chubby n other senior members...
When you ordered notes after remedical, did they mention remedical in the notes section or anywhere else in them??? coz when i got my notes there has been mentioned only medical PASSED nothing about word remedical. so that medical passed was it the first medical or the remedical???
Any idea please... cause i m so confused about it. Cause i recieved call from islmbad office at 10 dec 2013 for remedical n address confirmation. and in notes section they mentioned that date and address confirmation but nothing about remedical..
Is this normal?? coz i never ordered notes before remedical so i have no idea how it is supposed to be before it.
So Do they mention word remedical in notes or simply medical...??? :-\

Please clear this out for me.
Thank you.
