In my opinion using Case Specfic Enquiry is better than sending an email. here is the address.

Yes, this is PPR 1. Senior members can confirm this.

Hello,
I'm Canadian wife, we applied for Spousal Sponsorship, Spouse in Canada in October, 2011, My spouse is a Pakistani National.
We filed our application to Vegreville in October 2011.
Our file was just transferred to a local immigration office in February 2014, cldearly outside the processing time indicated at CIC website.
I'm very sorry to hear how long this process is taking for others.
I'm disgusted as a Canadian citizen with the system the Canadian government has set up to deal with the process. You cannot reach a person, they speak like robots, they provide answers to questions you have not asked. Their information is misinformation in my experience.

There is no way to get an update from the CIC Website; a rational meaning update, rather than "your application is in process".

I was informed today by a CIC officer a the call centre today, verbatim (word for word):
"PROCESSING TIMES NO LONGER APPLY ONCE AN APPLICATION HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO A LOCAL OFFICE"
I feel desparate, and I am the Canadian in this situation. It is not what my spouse must go through....I get to stay in Canada, if this does not go in our favour.

May God speed all the applications for persons waiting to be with the one they love.

Khadija
