CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

Salam all,

I sponsored my wife from Pakistan in January 2012.


I received an email that her visa was ready and to sent the passport approximately 32 days ago.


I have still heard no response. I had even emailed them over a month ago and never received a response either..


If anyone could guide me to the next step to speed up the process. She has missed my graduation, and so much more. It's very unfair how they completely keeping us in the dark.


They have her passport for a month now (it was sent to Islamabad). I am reading about people here who sent their passports after us and have received it already.. If anyone can guide me to the next step that would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks

I'm in the same situation as you..my wife sent her passport 8 weeks ago and we're still waiting for it to be returned...i emailed islamabad last week to get an update but haven't received a reply yet...i'm probably going to email my MP tomorrow to see if they have any insight as to when my wife's passport will be returned

Its been 3 days now i am not able to check my E case status. I am entering all the correct info but still not showing up. Should i contact to immigration and ask them about this problem? Plz reply as its giving much stress. Thanks

Don't be stressed most of us are not able to access it. Maybe they are in the process of updating our profiles. Keep your hopes up.

Don't be stressed most of us are not able to access it. Maybe they are in the process of updating our profiles. Keep your hopes up.

Should we call cic for more info or not?

I don't know if the local MP can do anything but it's better than doing nothing...I'm hoping the MP can at least contact Islamabad and by contacting them remind them they still have my wife's passport too...just in case they've forgotten or are overlooking it

calling the embassy is of no use as there is an automated msg saying to press 1 for this and 2 for that...and when you finally get to the section to get an update on a submitted application it just tells you to send an email

Heres my Case.

Nikah Only Case. Feb 27th 2013 - Nikah - Send a lot of proof. 5 years of emails. nikah invitation. tons of pictures, text messages, presents 5 years worth of phone bills.
Submitted entire application in October 2013
Received Eligibility Letter in November 2013
Papers Gone to Islamabad

Okay guys!! Anyone and i mean ANYONE who can reply, or inbox me, that will be a GREAT help!! My case is just 9 months in... how long should i expect to hear from these islamabad people who are apparently sleeping?

Also... have any of you heard of any successful Nikah Only cases?.... Please share usernames.. so i cant get in touch with them.

**Please Note --- YES, i understand a rukhsuti should be done to be "safe" but common people. lets be reasonable here. We are in distance. Rukhsuti will make things twice as much harder. Honestly, Don't want to deal with that right now! And actually these people who are rejecting because a rukhsuti and valeema are not done, they need to be ashamed of themselves. just saying.

Any replys would be appreciated at this point.

Well for Nikah cases, I think that if CIC delays, or wants interviews, you will know WHY they did that.

You can assure yourself in whatever way, as you have to live with whatever decision you make. The "distance" thing is not a good excuse.
