I applied for Notes May 6th and still NOTHING!
emailed a follow up last night and nothing today either

In the summary it mention "file assigned to RG for review, email sent"

If someone can please advise what is mean by "file assigned to RG for review". Everything else seems to be okay except dont understand why is it taking so long and why Security still shows "Not started"

Just wanted to share that my wife got her ppr1 today. I applied last year in July. I'm hoping this gets done within one year, would be awesome considering some of y'alls timelines. Would be awesome to have my wife with me for Ramadan.

My friend is sending an application to sponsor her husband from Afghanistan. IMM 0008 Form asks in question 4 "Immigration Office Requested for processing this application", Can someone please let me know what office I would indicate here?

Another question I have is in regards to the additional country specific documents Middle East and Central Asia [IMM 3911] (PDF, 358 KB). In this section there is the declaration I, _________________________, hereby authorize the Canadian High Commission in Islamabad, Pakistan, to contact all governmental authorities, including all police.... Now if the file is going to New Delhi is this authorization still valid or do we need to complete a different form? Please advise as we are clueless and there is no info to clarify this.

Any takers on this question or should I call New Delhi directly? Will I even get through?

Just write Kabul, they will transfer wherever they deem appropriate
Hopefully they'll open their office in Kabul and deal with Afghans directly.

Under the immigration office requested, you can go ahead and indicate both VO's. Whereby, you may state, CHC-Islamabad/New Delhi.

I believe its still valid until CIC immigration eliminates the authorization page for Pakistani's/Afghan's, to a more recent form. Where it would indicate New-Delhi or LVO.
