I have 1 M phill , 2 masters, 2 becholars, level degrees, 3 certifications and two member ship of professional bodies. I didn't take risk to send them to CIC. My those documents are of more value than the immigration of Canada. I can take risk of delaying my case but can not of losing my original documents. Also I have to appear in different interviews with original documents. I send them attested copies too.

Some people do have genuine concerns, it has nothing to do with common sense. For example some of the academic institutions i went to, they clearly states that you can only get your diplomas once NO MATTER WHAT. So what i did was i sent true copies of all my educational documents. They never asked me for originals when they ask me to send additional documents in Jan 2014.

It is what it is, but if a master can send his/her document PHD like me can also send her documents. I was also not happy about it, that's y i am planning to go legal. either follow the rule or don't apply. cic have to go through a process if phds dont sent their educational documents, its unfair with everyone else.btw he is not even phd ???

It seems like us Pakistanis think that rules are meant to b broken.... that's y we're always looking for ways to bend them to suit our needs.... it doesn't work that way in Canada folks.... everyone follows the same rules no ifs ands or buts.... doesn't matter if ur chacha is the PM of Canada.... ur not exempt from following the rules!..... we're always bad mouthing gorra culture but this is one very positive aspect of their culture.... that no one is exempt from the rules no matter how high up he is... even if the PM's son marries someone from Pakistan.... they will also have to go through 32 months of processing!... I really don't believe all these ppl that have posted recently that their cousin's wife's friend's chacha's neighbour's daughter applied for Canada n came here in 11 months.... ppl have a way of exaggerating things.... if u start probing them u find out the 11 months is actually 21 months!

Its personal choice to apply or not, if VO really need to see original they can ask for it. It might delay your application a bit but you won't risk losing all the documents.

And we are no one to judge what is fair and unfair, lets leave things to CIC to decide upon it.
