I guess its a good sign if they sent it to London... I mean they seem to be pushing through a lot of files lately. Best of luck! We have similar timelines so I feel your pain!! I'm sure you'ii get the PPR+Rmed at the same time.

Why do you counter act this. If people are afraid of this amendment could it be that the marriage is not valid? Just a thought because many cases have been proven not to be Genuine. I'm just saying that's all. Not all sayings on the forum must be replied too!

Please take your own advice as well Micmac. You have the most number of posts. I understand you have been waiting a long time (4 years) but that doesn't give you the right to act like an immigration lawyer. What you mentioned was not true and another user simply proved it.

That's exactly what she is saying... how is it different ? I remember in October 2012, this change was clearly highlighted on the CIC website, it is a safeguard for the sponsor if they are in a situation where the relationship has to end and they no longer want to stay tied to the 3 year under taking.

What is conditional permanent residence?

The conditional measure only applies to permanent residents whose applications are received on or after October 25, 2012—the day that the amendments came into force.

Clearly states this ONLY effects people that applied on Oct 25, 2012 and onwards. Any applications there were received Oct 24, 2012 and before, do not need to worry about this condition. Therefore it's not all 2012 applicants.

That said, if you are genuine case, there is nothing to worry about but something you should be aware of if you applied post and including Oct 25, 2012.

Is there any applicant who applied in 2013 and got it ppr ?

^^The sponsor is already approved so you have answered first part of your question. Rephrase the second part as it doesn't make any sense.
