I used the following web forum to ask London office about the location of my file and I got a confirmation within 24 hours stating that my file was with them.

I read this forum time to time to learn about the situation in CHC and people in the process. My wife is a Canadian citizen and we have our spouse case in process since 2012. I've been called for medical around September 2013, and october. The online application status shows medical results have been received.

Now, what made me compelled to write here is that I became Father on 19th Feb this year and I'm desperate to be with my baby girl and wife. They both need me.
CHC asked me and my wife about her medical and pregnancy reports which were provided and they added those to our file.

Please suggest me something that I should do now to be with my family asap !

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi dear congratulation for your daughter.
and for your question you can't do anything expect waiting and be patient. you can provide them proof and can send them doctor note stating that your daughter and wife need you that all. its upon them that they take it seriously or not.
i am a mother of 15 months old boy and still waiting for his father to be here with us. i also send then a doctor note last year stating that my baby is a low tone baby and he need his father but not any update and still waiting for re medical request. there is another member who has 18 months old daughter and stayed with her husband for almost one year after applying in 2012 but still waiting.
in short we can not do anything but pray.
hope things will turn in our favour soon.
and this painful waiting period will be over soon for all of us

We are all in a same boat! My daughter is now 2 years and 4 months old! Old enough to know relations! She is so close to her father. She gets fever whenever her father visits us and leaves us behind in Pakistan! My heart aches when i see her. We are grown up and we can share our pain but she cant other than just suffering from fever. And my husband doesnt call me because when she hears me talking to him she tries to grab phone and then cries for hours.

Just pray and be patient!!

Yeah, I guess the timeline starts once they actually receive the application, which still isn't too bad because I think if it had stayed in ISL, it would've taken much longer to process. Seeing the NDVO timeline, the case should be done by March/April next yr max. We hadn't even gotten Remed reqs and there are members here who have gotten remeds from ISL in 2013 and nothing else yet even after a year! So I will be happy even if the case is finalized next year by April!

THIRD REMEDICAL : (i read this comments on the forum so sharing)

I have heard of people doing a third medical exam, but it might not be necessary. Officers now have the ability to extend the deadline for exams done within 15 months.

I am Canadian citizen by birth. Do you know if they would grant him a student visa if he already has this spousal immigration case going as well?

As long as he can satisfy the requirements and documents for the study visa, it can be applied and/or granted.

Dual-intent is allowed by CIC.
Visa office just needs assurance that applicant will return to home country after completing their task in Canada.
It is tough, but doable if you have the means(hugely financial).

but if timeline starts from the day London office receive our file then it will be long for applicant's who already passed 22 months and more...
coz uk timeline is already 11 months and when that office get burden of Pakistani applications then timeline will increase after 3 months ..its already increased one month

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum, this is my first post here. I recently got married and applying for my wife's visa. Since I am filing my application on my own just like you guys, and since I am just starting, I have lots of questions to ask and I hope you guys are always there for help.

My first question is: What document do we need to apply for a medical examination?. Since I am about to file my new application, off course I dont have any medical request etc. Can anyone please help me out in this since I am so confused because when my wife called IOM in lahore for appointment, they asked for medical request papers from visa office.

If you read the CIC guides, it should say that upfront medical report is needed for Spousal class sponsorship.
Stress that when your wife talks to those IOM people.

after the remdeical was requested and completed in Sept 2013, no further movement on the file for the past 7 months

GCMS information requst - 61 pages

time we have been waiting: 24 months.
