A Permanent Resident can stay outside of Canada for 3 yrs out of the 5 Yrs for which the PR is valid. Every 5 Yrs the PR can be renewed
by proving that you stayed physically for 730 days (2 Yrs). I can confirm you that through my personal
experience. (Check out this link from CIC)

If I am not wrong, the limit is up to 6 months max a PR can stay outside Canada.

Folks, my hubby got an email to have medical done again. Hopefully, Insha'Allah we get to hear soon from them for PPR.

is it first medical ? if yes so your husband will be called for premedical after one year & they will start processing file after re-medical as your file is not yet transferred to Islamabad

Please correct me if i am wrong or if process is changed.

Yea my husband had that done today and everything went well..thank God! His results were normal
The immigration physician said he received a list of applicants from immigration that were flagged as urgent and needed to be processed immediately..and my husbands was one of them..
He also said that this is a new process that immigration is implementing
So with that information in mind i think there's hope that cases will be processed faster..
Lets see what happens next

Did u receive any other letters or an aor from Islamabad before requesting supplementary forms cause my file date is Sep 2012 and I haven't heard anything from them also did u receive email from them or just regular mail.

Just wanted to share the good news here with everyone .. My husband got the visa.. TCS delivered the passport around 10:15am PST

2nd Request: July 2013
Re-Med Request: September 2013
PPR: November 7, 2013
Visa: November 28, 2013
