No, that's not right. It only applies to new applicants. you should consider the process timing which was applicable at the time when you filed in the application.

the time line is the average processing time for that period. it impacts everyone not just new applicants. & 32 months is for red flag cases.. normally it can take anywhere from 16-20 months or maybe longer

Hey guys,

How do I go about ordering notes (what's it called? Caip notes or something?) to know where my application stands?

Thanks,

If you have a Canadian address, they only cost $5 and there is no harm in ordering them.

Follow the instructions at the link below. You will have to get the applicant to sign one of the forms and then upload it.

You mean to say that it applies to me as well? When I applied in March'12, I believe the processing time was 24 months.

Well I just crossed my 20 months mark on Nov 16th and still waiting :( Insha'Allah we will all be united with our respective spouses soon Insha'Allah!

unfortunately, regarding CHC its just numbers. I have seen cases processed in 8 months to 30 months. Regardless, nikkah or full rukhsati. They don't have a set timeline. Plus you are correct regarding 32 months affecting everyone.

the thing is nobody knows when their case is going to be done but the fact is we are getting closer to the finish line day by day .. that should just keep us going

That is a fact of life. Life is coming to a finish line day by day. Our case and our life is running parallel.

tats right the sad part is we are so stuck here with jobs, studies, supporting family that we don't even think about going back to live with our spouses and live in the present because who knows how much more life is left. but we are running behind this quality of life not knowing that we might not be able to live through it.
