The waiting time in CHC ISB is so long I can imagine the agony you guys are all going through. After trying for many TRV's and even a student visa for Canada (unfortunately all got declined - since married to a canadian citizen) the only option was PR. I decided to take a student visa for Poland and decided to have my sponsorship application process here in Warsaw, Poland where average waiting time is around 3-6 months. You can see my timeline. I will keep you all posted. If you have any questions I'm always here to answer.
thanks for the info

is this a wife case or husbnd?
On wat basis u applied for poland visa?
Did u moved to poland before apply? Or after apply

From what I know, all cases go to Ottawa first for North American screening. They look for history of an applicant whether a visa (US and/or Canada) was ever applied for, was it refused or granted. This could take 4 to 7 months, after that the file is transferred to the office of country of birth (Islamabad in case of Pakistani origin).

really? I'm confused that..my sponsorship has already been approved in Mississauga, and it took about 5 months! ugghh this whole process is surreal!

Come on members, bring some good news
It has been a month since the strike is over and only 1 or 2 PPRs. This is so depressing for the new members knowing that even the 2011 cases are waiting for visa

no one is getting ppr, that means they have stopped working on issuing ppr again. Notes would probably state the same. If ppl start gettin ppr and u don't get nuthing. Then order notes.....
Guys ,I am waiting as well for almost 20 months now. I recently went to my local MP's office and one of his staffer told me that there is a strike going on and embassies are working on skeleton staff since March. Which means that only a fraction of the work is getting done these days.I suggest sending letters to MP's or Immigration minister to highlight the issue.

This is a husband case, my wife is a canadian citizen. I was thinking about having the sponsorship process started in islamabad but its taking anywhere from 2-3 years maybe longer. I applied for a polish student visa which took a week to get in Islamabad and then my wife sent the application to CPC Mississauga it took around 45 days to have it processed and then they sent the file to poland. It reached 2 weeks back then last week they asked for some more documents such as police certificate from pakistan and poland and other proof to show a genuine relationship exists which I showed (documents required and interview happened on the same day & time - which was last week) 2 days later I got request for medical and then the next day I did my medical. The latest is that the medical has been sent to CHC london. Lets see how long it takes there.

Applied for my husband in feb2012 still waiting for remedical anyone else in same boat?

Yes it is true. Resubmit it- attach the consent form and a copy of pr card or passport. attach as two seperate documents. you will get it.

I don't think you need any ID/documents to attach other then consent form if you have canadian mailing address, this is what I found from ATIP site for requirement

Proof that you have the right to make a request:

Proof may include a copy of your Canadian passport, your permanent resident card, or an official document that demonstrates you are currently living in Canada (i.e. driver’s license, bill with proof of address, or work, study and/or visitor permit).
If you have a mailing address in Canada, you will NOT be required to provide proof.
