I'm shocked at your post!!
Do you read other post or what? Not to be rude but look at the your timeline and think what you asked?
Some of us have been waiting so long its seems like that movie The Never Ending Story or Ground Hog Day. I so hated the second movie lol.
They take their good old time with new cases some are processed fast if its a short case but if there are road blocks you can may depend it will take a while. I would be concerned if its past 18 months and no news otherwise you must wait. You can check if you like for the notes but I'm sure you won't see much action on your case. Just be patient is all I can say and have Faith in Allah as nothing goes unnoticed by Allah. May Allah help us all In Sha Allah

You didn't like Groundhog Day??

If you scroll a few lines down on your GCMS notes, you'll see a line item called 'Description'. These are the reasons indicated by the medical officer why someone passed or failed the medical exam. I would guess if yours empty then it could be they haven't received your initial medical results. If there is something under description then you should be able to tell what's going on.

If it helps I can tell you what you can expect if you have passed your medical:

Status: Passed
IME Status: Assessed
Reason for Closure: Granted
RMO: New Delhi

Forwarding invitation received from Devinder Shorey MP NE to join Minister of Citizenship and Immigration at an open house on Sat Oct 19, 13 at Magnolia Hall unit 900-5075 Falconridge Blvd, NE Calgary at 11: 30 am. This could be a great opportunity to register our complaint regarding the delay by CIC Islamabad... any thoughts ?

HI ALL,
HERE IS AN UPDATE FROM OUR SIDE:
WE APPLIED FOR THE NOTES LAST MONTH AND NOW WHEN I GOT THEM I CAME TO KNOW THAT OUR FILE IS TRANSFERRED TO ISBD IN AUG 2013. SO ITS ALMOST 3 MONTHS NOW ....
LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.

I HAVE A QUESTION ALSO.

IN THE NOTES WHERE IT SAYS INCOMING IT CLEARLY STATES THE DATE OF THE LAST GCMS NOTES ISSUANCE WHICH MEANS THAT WHENEVER WE ORDER NOTES OUR FILE IS UPDATED WITH THE NOTES REQUESTED DATE ALSO ... I DONT KNOW IF ITS A GOOD OR BAD PRATICE TO ORDER NOTES THEN.

SENIORS PLEASE POUR SOME KNOWLEDGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no positive or negative aspect of ordering notes. It doesn't affect your case in any form. Your just requesting info regarding your file. Immigration canada/pakistan just keep track of all activity that occurs on the file. If for example, you email them, they will also have that written down (it does so in my notes). Nothing to worry about....

Dear All

Assalamualikum, i need some guidance.

I have been sponsored by my wife, application submitted for family sponsorship may 16th, 2013. This is the date showing on Online Application Status check.

Letter received from CIC June 10, 2013 mentioning that the File has been transferred to CHC Islamabad for further processing.

CHC timeline for sponsorship visa processing as on Oct 17, 2013 is 31 Months, But i have seen some of the member's got the visa approx 1 year after. Is this the case now? We can expect visa issuance in 1 year time?

Secondly i wanted to apply for Visit Visa this coming December 2013 to visit my wife, i have completed almost all the requirements stated in the Application check list, My question is how much are my chances getting visa?

Secondly i have almost CAD $4200 Cash balance which will increase to CAD $6300 in first week of Dec 2013 in my personal account, is the amount sufficient enough? I will request my bank for a 6 month statement in Mid of Nov when i apply for Visit Visa which will show CAD $ 4200, will Visa officer know that i will be getting pay check first week of coming month? How should i tell him by the time i am leaving to Canada i will have CAD $6300?

I have received Invitation letter clearly showing that my father in law will bear all the expenses including food and lodging, so i will have to pay only for my ticket which should be around $1200.

What are my chances of getting Visit Visa?

Anyone who is experienced please advise and suggest!

Thank-you

31 months seems to be the worst case scenario - I am not sure about the 1 year but 16 - 18 months should be reasonable but it's all subjective and there are many factors that influence it.

You can certainly apply for a visit visa (TRV - temporary resident Visa) - I would suggest you post in the visitor's section of the forum since a lot more people with TRV experience will be able to advise you there.

The thing with TRV is that it's hard to say whether a certain amount of money is sufficient for your application to be approved - We've seen people with worse applications getting approved and better applications getting denied.

The key to obtaining a TRV is to convince a visa officer that you will return home after your allowed stay expires. You can do that by showing ties to your home country like a stable job that you have to come back to, a property in your name, any family associated with you that you have to come back to.

The funds seem sufficient - the letter of support from you father in law is great as well. But I will focus more on showing your ties to your home country.

Also, (and maybe this should've been the first point), be honest in your application. Tell the visa officer why you need a tourist visa. Tell them that your PR application is in progress. provide PR file number. Tell them that the current processing time is 31 month and that its taking a toll on your marriage etc etc.

Again - I don't know what the magic criteria is. I always think it's on the mood of the VO whose desk your file lands on. My wife got a 4 yr multiple TRV and she had Rs. 20,000 in her bank. And there are other people who show thousands of dollars get denied.

In short, focus on showing ties to the home country and explain honestly (and emotionally) why you need a TRV.

All the best bud.

P.S: post in the Visitors section for the TRV
