thankyou for replying, I called Canadian consulate and told them that I only have this number and he said again this BR+5digits number is a receipt number, he said call bramtop passport office and ask for proper file number, then he told me about another consent case where that lady gave him similar type of number which I gave him and after couple of days she gave them the right file number which was 123-PPC-123 something...

Maybe they changed the file number. Coz I also only got that receipt number from the passport office and my hubby gave that to the embassy.
You should call the brampton passport office to verify. Hope ur issue solves soon

my wife went to Brampton passport office and they said they have send the passport at their home address, can u believe that, on one side they say file no. is incorrect and now passport has been issued..

I also didnt hav good experience with their call centre...anyways the good thing is ur son is gettin his passport

Gmcs notes now are to be filed online. Which is faster and easier. I did so twice had no problem. However, your spouse will have to fill out a consent form which must be scanned and sent along also. The old method won't work now.

I would like to apply for GCMS/CAIPS but it says we need to fill form online, but before we used to fill form IMM5744 and IMM5563, do they changed they criteria for applying note? please advice.

Gmcs notes have no contact with ecas. Thus you cant use your reciept number to see whereabouts of file. Usually take somewhere close to 30days to get gmcs notes emailed to you.

I HAVE A QUESTION REGARDING GCMS NOTES.
When I applied for the notes online and paid the $ 5.00 fee, it gave me a payment confirmation screen and alsoa an email came to me having the payment receipt info in it. Now the question is on the Ecase website, can we use that receipt number that starts with R to chk the status of our GCMS request?
