I have a question about the immigration medical being done here in Canada If someone knows something about it that would be great. I applied for my wife sponsorship in April 2012. file transferred to Ottawa in July 2012. My wife luckily got the visit visa and she is been here for almost 6 months now. Today she got an email from Immigration asking for the re-medical in order to proceed. We did send the medical at the time of application and they received it. My question is ; can it be done in Canada through any CIC designated physician or she has to go back to Pak for medical. Just wondering if someone came across this situation or knows anything about it. Much appreciated

Bro I think you'll get PPR soon at the pak home address. Apparently ppr is via regular post. What time did your wife receive the email?

She got an email around 6AM EST.

I didnt give any specific reason. I told them that we have already applied for the sponsorship and during this time would like to spend some time together. you can include specific occasions like we mentioned in the letter that we would like to spend Eid , Christmas and our birthdays together. me and my wife has birthdays in a same month.

hi, did your wife work in pakistan or was she enrolled in courses? people are saying the wife must show one of these things before a visitor visa is issued. is this true?

No she wasnt working nor taking any courses. I showed my bank statement of around 10000$ and around 70000Rs in her account in Pakistan. I guess it was a season when they were little bit lenient in September last year because they sent us the stamped passport in 40 days where it was taking 3 months normally.

Any idea after doing re-forms and Police certificate, how long would it take to get re-medical?

Hi friends, today my wife got a letter for additional information/forms etc... i am waiting for her to scan email it to me, dont know if it includes re-md or not as they have a few links there which could lead to anything... so yea... alhamdulillah my case has started now .... best of luck in all of yours as well.

Congrats man! About time... I believe the interview is waived if they request re-med. Let us know what all they have asked and whether they communicated via email or post.
