Hey everyone question from ottawa people feb2012 applicants whats your ecase status
Mine wasnt working for few days finally i can access it and it shows in process they added an. Addional line we started processing your case on may.... Dats when i received my aor is it a good sign ?

At this point any movement on Ottawa file is a good sign and give all of us hope that they start working on pakistani files because till now we don't have any news from anyone about Ottawa

I recieved my UCI number and sponsor approval letter in November.what's an AOR?and when do u rrecieve it,I mean how long after application submission?

I have the same thing as urs.. And to be honest it is nothing but just an additional useless information... Coz I got right after my Ecas started working.. So still keep praying... INSHALLAH will get it on the right time ...

AOR ( Acknowledgment of Receipt ) is exactly what you have already received .. It gives you information about your spouse's File/application number also tells you that you are eligible to Sponsor and your file have been forwarded to ISB/Ottawa...

Hi i have same timeline as yours, app filed feb 2012 and aor received may 2012, my file is in ottawa too and no remedical nothing yet... status is app received

Sorry Mehr but you are wrong , AOR is Acknowledgment of Receipt that confirms that they have received your application (ussally after couple of weeks) and allot you a UCI and File number.

Approval of stage 1 or eligibility to sponsor come's later.

But some people for some reason I ignore don't receive an AOR and get directly the approval.

Yes, AOR was from Ottawa saying they recieved my application on Nov 28, I'm approved for sponsorship, and they have sent my application to the ISM VO. It didn't specify WHEN they sent it though :/

Well if m not wrong so UCI is the number that belongs to the one who is sponsoring not to the one who is being spinsored and that number you don't get it through AOR ,
Though it is written in that piece of paper which we call AOR but that number is your account number which stayes with you through out your life ....
The purpose of AOR is ,as it is abbreviated "Acknowlegment of Receipt" is giving you a heads up that they have revived your file and your are eligible to sponsor and it gives you the new number which we call file number or application number that belongs to the person who is being sponsored... May b m wrong but UCI number I had it when I came into Canada about 10 years ago....
Well I guess it's useless discussion that what exactly it is.. The important thing is we are all getting sick coz of this never ending wait.. That's why spending too much time on these forum and have nothing else in life..

Wow, Masha'Allah, thats really encouraging to see. I am a March 2012 applicant. This could very well mean that 2013 will prove to be a great year for all of the applicants Insha'Allah!!
