CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

Hi there,

I have a question. I went to the CIC online website and when I checked my wife's Permanent Residence Application Status, its says the following:

"We received (My wife's name) application for permanent residence on May 28, 2012. Medical results have been received."

Now the date you have up there is the date the Mississauga Office received my wife's application. Shouldn't the date on the Permanent Residence Application Status show the date when the application is received in Islamabad?

One more question, I am not sure about the other people's timelines, but my wife's application should have been received by the Islamabad Visa Office by July 2012, It has been approximately 7 months, still no news or status update. Is this how long it is taking these days?

Dear Bro,
On ecase they r giving date of receipt of sponsorship and permanent residence application .not the date of transferring file to islamabad.
You will hear around 8 to 9 month after getting sponsorship approval.

And your "government were talking about here. They know all these little tricks" doesnt make sense. Its VOIP routing we are talking about here, this would only be true if they are screening calls from INSIDE of north America.

If anyone has an android phone, they can search for an app called Fongo. It gives you a free Canadian number that you can make and receive calls on. If anyone outside Canada need a Canadian number for free do the following:

Just google "fongo.apk" [you cant download it from play store if you are outside Canada]
Download the .apk file, copy it on your android phone.
Install it.
Then go to fongo.com, create an account using your email address.
Log in on your phone with the account that you just created.
And voila! you have a free Canadian number to call people and your beloved CHC anytime from your cellphone on wifi/data.

Will it be better to have a google doc as apposed to posting it in forum to make sure anyone can access it and post it in the original post? So new applicants can add themselves in chronological order and existing applicants can update when their case progresses.

Edit: I have made the list public if people can add themselves to the list below in my signature, it will give us a good/clean look to trace people. Let me know if any changes need to be made.

I have modified date to the correct format and also added 01 where there is no indication of exact day

So it got nothing to do with immigration ? Did you applied for US immigration too ?

Edit:List + sig updated, I was thinking we all should include this in our sig so anyone needing to ask a pattern or question regarding "has anyone from 20xx got some update.....?" can just look and get info themselves.

You should better update yours as it will be easier to manage if need is because Basil bahi sadly has left us as he abandoned his case (separation from his wife if I am not mistaken him for someone else )

Everyone has access to that [basil's list], I merged the one I created to his as his list has more people already in it with more information. I will try to update that list as much as possible and everyone should do their part as well, to make sure they at least keep their info updated.
